I'm excited to see what they do with Wendy. I think Barry's more adult side comes out around people closer to his personality. Maybe she's more Patty than Felicity. Either way, until the writers fix Iris' development I don't think they should end up together. Both characters are like high school students around each other and it's hard to picture them as an endgame couple.

Well I think it may be differnet than Olicity there has been a nice build up since episode 1, :cwink: I'm not really much a Olicity shipper but I love Snowbarry, :ilv: Caitlin brings out a side to Barry that no other girl has he acts more like a adult instead of a whiny, selfish, kid like he does when he around Iris/Linda. The first thing the media asks Danielle is what about Snowbarry? so Snowbarry is popular around the media, :woot: Also I got to ask this did Caitlin really had to look at Barry when she was saying her wedding vows to Ronnie? :cwink: Really when it comes to shipping its like civil war there's the Westallen team/Ironman and there's the Snowbarry team/Cap.

Truthfully yes. This. The drama is strong between the shippers. Basically if Snowstorm can be canon on the show, so can Snowbarry. Danielle/Caitlin/Snowbarry is gaining popularity line that's for sure. It's good to have more things to root for besides the forced relationships.

I am completely for Barry and Caitlin. There is actual chemistry there. When Iris is a round, she brings Barry, Eddie and Joe down.

Yes couldn't agree more. The writers need a better approach with her character. She's supposedly an adult but acts like a child most of the time. I'm for Barry with someone who's more an adult and someone he has romantic chemistry with.

"My dad is missing, possibly dead at the hands of a giant gorilla, but I want to cry about how Barry didn't tell me he was the Flash."

Don't delude yourselves into thinking there isn't chemistry between Barry and Iris. There is.

I don't see it. I think Candice is a very pretty girl, but her acting and the writing have made me detest her and them. Barry is a worse person around her. A less likeable person, and it also applies to Eddie and her father. That they try to force her into the situation with these overwrought scenes make it worse. "SEE!!!! LOOK, SHE IS IMPORTANT!!!"

It actually bothers me how much it reminds me of Clark and Lana from Smallville, because this show is so much better then Smallville ever was. You'd think they wouldn't make this mistake. Chloe and Caitlin wipe the floor with the intended love interest. Both in terms of character and their chemistry with the lead.

Sure, there's chemistry. Of people who are friends.

"My dad is missing, possibly dead at the hands of a giant gorilla, but I want to cry about how Barry didn't tell me he was the Flash."

Don't forget about Barry's idiocy in this episode. "Hey, I know your dad is missing, and so is your boyfriend, but let's talk about how you secretly want to date me", and then after they rescue Joe, Barry is even more disgusting by talking about how Eddie is still missing, and then basically asking Iris if her feelings might change for him after they find Eddie.

I wanted to slap Barry. Nothing about that conversation made me want to ship them. It just reinforced the idea that Barry's obsession with Iris is unhealthy and gross. In a lot of ways, it's just disturbing. Do. Not. Want.

The worst part is, will Iris end up with Barry because she really wanted to, or because she was pushed into it because everyone around her has tried to make that decision for her?

I agree they do remind me of Clana :cwink: Barry acts like a selfish guy when he is around her, I mean look at 1x19 he was focus on taking down Wells but forgot about what Caitlin went threw at least she called him on it you go Caitlin. :woot: Also in the same episode Barry/Caitlin had on matching clothes like a married couple? :cwink: in the Grodd episode Barry is upset about Iris being mad at him and Joe being kidnapped, Caitlin sees him threw the window and goes to him to comfort him just like he did for her in 1x3 just more Snowbarry parallels. Really to me Snowbarry is the better couple I even ship Flashfrost I know the odds are against them but I'm like Han never tell me the odds I'm with Snowbarry till the end of the line. :woot:

Yeah it's like I said about Barry whenever he's around Iris, she brings out the blatant, almost boisterous adolescent teenager in him when he is supposed to be passed those years and into adulthood.

I think Smallville was good for what it was worth but Flash has something special. Caitlin and Chloe have the development that Iris and Lana can only wish they had. Now Flash has the chance to fix that. So far, Caitlin fits better with Barry on all levels.

Geez.
God forbid superheroes behave like real people and screw up and do and say stupid stuff occasionally.

You know it's funny that they parallel Caitlin/Ronnie storyline to Barry and Nora's storyline, if season 1 ended with Barry letting his Mom die for the greater good, then what if season 2 ends with Caitlin letting Ronnie die for the greater good.

That scene in the finale, when Iris talks about the "Iris West-Allen" thing... they had chemistry. Pretty nice scene.

Ronnie isn't a regular yet. I could see this happening with the characters. With Caitlin becoming KF soon, Ronnie's heat is needed for her to survive. Once it's gone he's dead. But I don't think Ronnie's death will be at the hands of KF. I think another meta will kill him, which pushes KF further into the villain role.

I am all for mistakes. Barry makes plenty of mistakes. What I don't like is ridiculous stuff like being more annoyed with Barry for not telling you something then the survival of your father. The height of vanity.

Casting has begun.

Well if I was doing it this is how I would do it, first have Grodd put Ronnie under a mind control doing his dirty work. :sly: Second take S2 to Africa and have Grodd build Gorilla City, planning on wiping out all humans replacing them with apes. :sly: Third have Ronnie face off against Caitlin while everyone else is against Grodd, similar to Steve/Bucky in TWS. :woot: Last but not least Ronnie under Grodd's orders is about to kill a lot of people, Caitlin having no choice kills him. :csad: I think it would be more tragic if she did the killing herself but it would tie back to 1x13, where Wells said to Caitlin your willing to sacrifice million of lives for Ronnie? just like he told Barry. :cwink:

They have friend/ brother /sister chemistry. They're believable as brother and sister and maybe that's what the casting directors were going for the whole time as opposed to romantic chemistry.

It's believable that she wouldn't be romantically interested in him , and if anything, it feels forced when the writers try to imply that she's romantically interested in him. At the same time , its believable that he would be inlove with her. The status quo dynamics of the series actually work well. Its when they try to force into the dynamics of the comics that it doesn't work.

So you're right, the actors have chemistry, just not a romantic chemistry.

until we see them actually try a full on Romance with the two we cannot know that for sure .

They're no romance sparks between them, and no full on romance is gonna change that. Now I'm sure the actors will do a good job acting what's given to them, but they're not suddenly gonna have romantic chemistry if their given a full on romance.

As far as i'm concerned the writers aren't bound to give them a full on romance anyway. They've already established this isn't the reality of the comics and that things are changed, therefore they aren't bound by the comics canon as far as Barry and Iris goes. I assume they will be together at some point in the series, but the writers don't have to have them together according to their own rules.

don´t know if it has been shared before but i came across with this, it´s really well done:

Sorta have Ronnie act as a lackey? Was he meant to die off? I thought he was a pretty cool character. I know Prof. Stein is on LOT so I don't know what's going to come with firestorm. If Ronnie is going to be killed off, does Stein go with him?

No in the comics Ronnie died a lot, but no Stein doesn't go with Ronnie, the guy name Jason he becomes Firestorm with Stein in the comics, its like Hydra cut off one head and two more shall take its place.
