I thought it was a good episode. In alot of ways it was tieing up the loose ends from season one so the episode took a while to find its stride.

Thought this was a great episode to open up the season premiere I gavee it 10 because there's no show that can compare right now it's been off air for too long in my opinion so glad its back and in the beginning when Harrison and Eddie were there at star labs I was like WTF how did.....oh ok that didn't really happen can't wait to see zoom so we can all speculate who it is

I noticed that and was confused. Is Barry short for Bartholomew?

Or is there still some alternate universe stuff going on.

Great opener! I figured Henry will go away (or will die LOL) the moment they showed Wells' confession video. They've done a great job improving Iris. She's great and blended well with the team. The Ronnie thing is unfortunate but it was obvious that it was going to happen with him missing on Legends of Tomorrow. Was there friction between the actor and the crew and thats why he was written off?

My biggest complaint? My recording was cut off just when Garrick showed up! Was there anything more other than what they showed at the previews/trailers?

Some people just go by their middle names. Its also a foreshadowing of his descendant, Bart.

The beginning was a little weak. Not bothering to show us what happened after leaving us hanging last season is lazy writing. Also, it made me focus on Caitlan and her grief over Ronnie, rather than Iris, trying to pick up her life after rededicating herself to Eddie Thawne.

Barry appears to have picked up Stupidly Stubborn Superhero trait. This after lecturing the Arrow crowd how much Ollie the Irritating needed their help. This has got to be in TVtropes somewhere...

I really don't understand why Barry didn't insist on taking the microphone to explain that another superhero gave his life closing the singularity at the Flash Day celebration. I mean, wth. Barry's gonna need to start his trophy room soon.

I thought Caitlan's grief over Ronnie's death and Barry's senseless taking credit for saving the city and Ronnie's not being given credit would be the catalyst for Caitlan to become Killer Frost. Slightly disappointed she seems over it already. Maybe it'll be her doppleganger!

Atom Smasher looked in character. And it was so cute when Cisco hugged Dr. Stein. I don't feel Stein got enough to do though. I mean, he's a scientist, he ought to be tap-tapping at those computers too.

This show will never be as good if Tom Cavanaugh doesn't come back somehow. I miss him already. That was some puzzling ambivalence he displayed on the recording. Someone needs to write long essays on Thawne's thinking.

Henry Allen's "you can't be a hero if I'm around" was the weakest line I have ever heard. I could see Allen's having issues with reintegrating into the community; everything would remind him of his wife, and everyone would remember him as The Murderer. If they wanted to get rid of him, they should have just had him say he needed to start afresh in a city where he had no memories of his wife or notoriety. Like Star City. What was the reasoning here?

I got a little excited at seeing Atom Smasher grow, like in the comic books, I won't lie. The "lead the villain into a trap and leave" plan was classic. But Atom Smasher's death seemed anti-climactic and a waste. It wasn't even that dramatic. What was the point?

Good job on not throwing away Star Labs and the secret future computer Gideon. That would've been stupid. How's it being funded now?

Jazzed to see Jay Garrick. Great ending scene. I can handwave Henry Allen's stupid excuse to lying about his real reasons to leave, Atom Smasher's weak death was the main disappointment. Everything else was decent setup.

PLEASE bring back Tom Cavanaugh!!!

Jay casually walking in right after Cisco and Caitlin finish going on about the upgraded security that will keep people they don't know from casually walking in, And Jay introducing himself and saying their world is in danger, is the end of episode stinger, so you didn't miss anything big.

They've already established Barry's first name is fully Bartholomew.

Not to seem rude, but that's incorrect. At most, it's a nod to Impulse (which they also did in season one, which might be why you're confused about this). Barry's first name is Barry, and that's the whole name. Just Barry.

I don't think there was friction at all othere wise whe'd have seen an compelty different actor from barry day dream at the start of the show and he'll show up again in legends of tomorrow but he's the action side of fire storm. stein is mostly the bairns or the more experience scientist of the two. we'll see him again I think he's just dorment in steins body and both are new to their symbiotic relation ship and how their powers work.the actor robby amell will be busy with some stuff like the xfiles but he will be around as the Victor Garber said in an interview on video he's still around .

Also, I'd honestly never heard Barry associated with Bartholomew before now, despite having known a fellow with the name.

yeah they are just verision of the same nam4 like liz and betty are the same name for Elizabeth or rick and you dick ( Night wings real name )mean Richard but they are the same name and it makes itessyerto tell some people apart when you are calling them especially if you semto be those type that don't WANT TO THINK of differ named it seems cause your too lazy or just don't think straight at times lol as the cw show have shown with naming both their immediate kids jimmy

yeah like I said he has a role in the X files he was cast for that. But Victor Garber said on video he'll still be around to one of the north American entertainment news shows so don't writ him off he be there if his other half said so on video

I'm going with he's dormant in stein's body it makes the most sense with how their powers work. the word dead is overly used too loosely and always false in the case of sci-fi. so I'll stick with that cause since grew both comic's gene Rodden berry stuff and doctor who stuff.

I just know that word should be used in his case . lol

Ronny but yeah that's a good way to look at it too we'll see him again too it make sense why he'd want to leave. most people dostill don'e look at you in a good light after you been in jail. even when cleared that still stick to you sadly and people don't like to give people chance . in other words alot of people are dense.

Did anyone else notice Zoom just barely on-camera in Cisco's Earth 2 vision when he first sees Atom Smasher? He was hardly in the frame, but he was flickering with blue lightning and obviously talking with Atom Smasher.
Wouldn't be surprised if that turns out to be why Cisco was so frightened by his vision (when later asked about it by Joe, he sort of just trails off and gets interrupted by Iris showing up).

What happened to Ronnie was worse. The whole cliffhanger was handled poorly.

But it was decent episode. Not great, but decent.
