The Flash The Flash to Appear on Supergirl

Can you imagine The Flash crossing over to Smallville and Wonder Woman Lynda Carter?

I'd love to see Tom Welling back as Superman but who really cares or wants Lynda back as Wonder Woman? You'll find the answer is not many.

We have our Wonder Woman already, her name is Gal Gadot. :yay:

Adam West and Burt Ward are still alive, :woot:

Looking to the Flash-Supergirl event. Should be FUN.

Arrow's producers flat-out stated that NBC's Constantine was retroactively incorporated into "Flarrow"-verse Canon by virtue of Matt Ryan's appearance.

I realize that. I'm still saying that, 95% chance:

1. None of the Constantine plot threads and setting elements will ever be used or referenced

2. The 'mystic world' development that does happen will be contradictory, or at least seriously orthogonal

Which basically adds up to "Constantine isn't really particularly canonical".

That doesn't really say he was publicly known. I'm not saying that he wasn't, but that just says that he'd become Superman at that point.

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Maybe my math IS off re: how long Clark's been operating as Superman, but the point still stands; he's been publicly known for quite a long time, which is fundamentally incompatible with the way that Arrow and The Flash have characterized the presence of superpowered beings, because, at the very least, Clark's been operating as Superman for a decade longer than superpowered beings have been publicly known to be a 'thing' in the Arrowverse.

Ah, well if the source is correct, and the producers indeed plan to stick to the multi-verse crossover concept with SG , then whether or not they could exist isn't an issue because that would be the route they're going.

Though, I would say that plans can change and the info a source may give one day may be true then, but may not plan out by the time they actually film and script the episode. Either way we will probably get a stronger confirmation by the time the episode airs.

The script's already been written in full and handed out to the people involved in filming the episode. Barring some completely unforeseen disaster, the chances of the SG writers and producers completely throwing it out and starting over are pretty much nil... meaning that Deadline saying they've confirmed that dimensional travel is the means by which Barry's going to end up in National City is as good as an official statement that such is in fact going to be the case.

I'll wait to see the actual episode to see how they end up handling it. That said , I wouldn't have a problem if they did the 52 earths thing.

How they do it aside, I'd love to see the rest of the Star Lab group comes along, though I'd make sense for it to be just Grant this time around , and perhaps in the future Melissa can join come to earth 1 and interact with the rest of that cast in an episode of the Flash.

I'm not sure if this has any relevance to the crossover, but one of the hosts of Supergirl Radio, Rebecca Johnson, mentioned in the latest episode of the podcast that when she recently toured the WB lot, the tour guide let it slip that he'd seen Candice Patton (Iris) on the lot, so we'll see what ultimately ends up happening.

For now, though, I'm taking Deadline at their word re: dimensional travel being involved in the crossover.

As an aside, author Andy Mangels played around with the contrast on the instagram photo of the title page that Grant Gustin posted, and was able to see through to the cast page clearly enough to read the names Italicia Ricci, Brit Morgan, Jenna Dewan Tatum, Siobahn Smythe/Silver Banshee, Livewire, and Lucy Lane, so take that for what you will.

We actually don't know how long he's been known really. For all we know, he could have been mysteriously saving people for awhile and having just only not long before the start of Supergirl revealed himself. It works, because as far as we can tell, Superman hasn't been really dealing with big threats in his time as a superhero. He could've been an urban legend, a blur on a camera lens hero for while, with people being saved, but not knowing how, mainly staying out of the way, like Bigfoot, where he was seen a little, but not enough to be proven, like the kind of strange occurrences Barry was investigating when he first appeared on Arrow. Or, if you really wanna play with it to avoid any kind of inconsistency, you can say that during the first season of The Flash, Superman was totally a hidden hero, but Barry going back in time at the end of last season caused a small ripple effect that brought about Superman revealing himself. It's much more fun for them to be in the same universe!

God bless you! God bless everyone!

Superman is the reason the DEO exists in the first place, and the organization showed up on the Danverses' doorstep less than a week after Kara arrived on Earth (which happened 12 years before the start of the Supergirl Pilot) to apprehend her, so, at minimum, Clark's been operating publicly as Superman for more than 12 years.

Or at least only the government knew about him for a while. I seem to recall there being some surprise about aliens in the Supergirl Pilot, but I could be wrong.

What does everyone think will be the reason for bringing both of these characters & shows together in terms of plot? Possibly sharing the same villain? Perhaps Barry stumbles across the Super Girl universe accidentally? I'm just curious because despite the fact the us as fans welcome these awesome crossovers, I don't quite understand how it will work logistically? I don't want the appearance to feel forced or unnecessary.

Simplest explanation would be having Barry enter Supergirl's universe accidentally. The question is whether one episode will be enough to cover everything without glossing over that fact.

My hope is for Barry to accidentally enter her universe at the end of the Flash episode and then promise it's continued in Supergirl. But I don't think they'll do that.

I think this mainly has to do with the writers having something up their sleeve. They're probably going to be some showing off as with the Flarrow crossovers that's a given. Flash and Supergirl sparring for fun. I like that it's going to happen near their finale, it makes for an interesting plot. Supergirl doesn't need help with their ratings, it's doing fine. Flash needed a boost though judging from 2x13. Both shows could only benefit.

Wouldn't it be weird that the Central City in Supergirl's -verse is just a small sleepy town that never really recovered from the flood of 1852. "Centralville"? It has a diner called "The Jitters" and an electronics repair shop called "Star Electronics".

I'd think that Barry would be a fan of Superman and ask Supergirl questions about her cousin.

I hope this isn't another Earth or another Flash from a different Earth entering Kara's Earth.

Even in a world where there's another Flash (Jay Garrick), and some people from Earth 1 are the opposites in Earth 2, it would be weird to think there is no Superman or Batman in the Legends of Tomorrow/Arrow/Flash universe...aka Earth 1.

By that I mean, say Green Arrow and the Flash enter another Earth where Superman and Supergirl exist, but not on their Earth.

This is great.

Looking forward to the DC TV multiverse. Once Flash meets Supergirl then it's all on - anything is possible, all bets are on. I mean, come on Martian Manhunter is live action at last ! As a DC fan this only gets me more excited about what could be - sure some of it will suck, or be a bit half-assed (Legends of Tomorrow.............not great).

If Flash can meet Supergirl then Flash can meet Superman, maybe Arrow can meet Batman, who knows ? They can bring in tons of lesser-known superheroes (kind of like some of the supervillains who've shown up so far).

As long as it's done in a fun way, I say roll on the cross-overs, roll on roll on!

I wonder if after 'Escape from Earth 2' Cisco returns but Barry is lost for a bit of the next one. It guest stars Harbinger and they've just done weirdness with her on Arrow, nothing like the actual character. Seems too coincidental they get back from the multiverse and here's Harbinger. The character is so tied to Crisis and the monitors in the comics, why call her Harbinger if she's just some generic gunshooter?

I don't want a full SV crossover, but i want Welling to be the Superman of the tv multiverse

He was an incredible Clark. He still really holds up, and would've been fine for the movies if he was given a chance

Melissa Benoist is so hot. Laura Vandervoort is the ultimate though.
