As long as we don't have to post as Jack. I need more John

It'll be interesting to see where they take that.

Also looks like they're turning the brand into Red Dead Redemption rather than just Red Dead (which doing so makes sense).

$10 billion dollars is a lot to pay in cash. If the price comes down I'm sure there'll be interest.

Yea i saw you playing that the other day. Whats the scoop on that? Like whats the premise?

The setup is that several decades in the future many cities around the world were destroyed due to the rising sea level, so the UN decides to build up an army of robot laborers to quickly build new cities. However, it was made clear that building robots that looked human ("hollow children" they called them) was strictly against the law.

Anyway, this American company swooped in and became the primary supplier of these robots, completely dominating the market. A rival Japanese company was pretty burned up about this because they were formerly the leaders in the field of robotics research and applications. They alleged that the American company had stolen their designs.

Several years later, in the offices of the American company a humanoid robot walks in and is threatening to shoot up the place. I think he just shoots himself, I can't remember. Not only did this robot look human, but he appeared to believe he was a human. Anyway, the government blames the rival Japanese company, and you and multinational squad of robot hunters are covertly sent in to Japan to investigate this company and see if there are any more of these hollow children about.

I didn't mean for that to be so long since it's just the background, but I guess a quicker, more reductive way to describe it would be to say that it's kind of a mix between Blade Runner and A.I. with a lot more shooting.

Yeah, it's a third person shooter. It has some pretty cool squad stuff.

There's a demo if I'm not mistaken. Don't go into it expecting it to be a "great" or whatever. No one aspect of it is the best, I just think it's really interesting and overlooked. Also, the game can be unintentionally very funny. So if that sort of thing is a dealbreaker you might want to skp it. For instance, sometimes your dialogue choices are hilariously vague. A squadmate complimented me, and my response options were "thanks", "god damn", and "****". :funny:

Haha. Yea if theres a demo ill deff give it a download.

Sounds pretty interesting.

Anyone play Need for Speed the Run? What do you think of it? Its $5 at BB today. Thats the game made by Criterion right?

Wow, only $5??? My brother bought it a couple months back and played it for 3 stages. He then gave it to me, and I only played it for a good 7-8 stages. The races are very (around 2 minutes?) short, and the lack of free roam kills it for me.

Could be a whole new guy too.
I'd prefer that. John Marston's story felt pretty well done within the confines of Red Dead Redemption. Rockstar should pat itself on the back for delivering a well-told story and move onto coming up with another one rather than trying to milk John's story for more.

I'd love to see them go back in time. Also, have the more choices matter. Not that I ever wanted to be a villain in RDR but even if you did at the end of the day John was still talking about leaving that life behind... So it never made sense.

I'd be fine if every RDR game featured a new protagonist like in GTA.

The sequel should feature John's descendant, William Moulton Marston, and be about sexual deviancy. :awesome:
