Lee Pace makes a lot of sense for Brainiac, but I’d imagine he’d play it exactly how he played both Thandruil and Ronan (but with green makeup!)

Let it go. Those two performances you mentioned aren't even similar and he doesn't play them similar at all.

I would bet at this point in his career he wants to focus on roles that do not involve make up or mo-cap.

I would like him to play Vandal Savage.

Eh. Idk. A character like Brainiac is so unlike what he's played before and what he's typically typecast as I think he'd take it. Josh Brolin's Thanos would probably incentivize him too, seeing how he saw first hand what can be done with that sort of role.

Kurt looks too much like he could be Superman to be Jonathan. I find it more interesting when the Kent's look nothing like Clark.

I’ve always liked Corey Hawkins; he’s been in a bunch of different things. I’d love to see him get a role in the DCU (or Marvel).

He’d be great as Jack Hawksmoor, or even Brainiac tbh.

Bruce greenwood, Russell, or Quaid would be my top choices for Jonathan, but we have no idea what Gunn wants.
He may go with a relatively unknown.

Welling(46) or Routh(44) are still too young for Pa Kent {maybe the young Jonathan in a flashback when they first find baby Clark} but, I don't think we'll see that scene done over again... an who would be an older actor that looks enough like either of them to play the present day version?

I love Gary Oldman in villian roles. Then I saw him as good guy Jim Gordon in Christopher Nolan's Batman films. In my eyes, Oldman is a near perfect Jim Gordon. That said, I trust James Gunn when it comes to casting so I have no doubt that whoever plays Jonathan Kent and Martha Kent will be fantastic. I'm pretty pumped to find out who else gets added to this great cast.
