He's done so many great things since then like House of Cards and Run All Night and of course Gunn's Suicide Squad.

Fair enough, I did enjoy him in Gunn's SS but figured they just played to his strengths of being a bit of a meat head. I doubt we will see him recast though considering his character in SS.

Iv said many times before that I am a fan of an older Lex so I would dig Viggo in the role.

Anders Danielsen Lie is an interesting choice that I don't think I've seen yet. He's fantastic in both of Joachim Trier's films Oslo, August 31st and The Worst Person in the World.

He brings a charm and an underlying cynicism to either of those performances.

Just popped into my head but I think Wes Bentley from Yellowstone could make a very interesting Lex Luthor. Can't find a picture (even a photoshop!) of him bald for the life of me though. He does the charming but duplicitous thing really really well.

Assuming Lex does play some role in the film & I'm also assuming this Superman is supposed to be somewhere from 21-26 sort of age range, I'd Lex to be & look a good 10 years older in his early 30's & I'd already like him to be more or less an established & mostly well respected member of society.

I always like the angle that Superman/Clark is often the only person that knows who Lex really is.

Eddie I remember someone had a fan cast from sometime around or before 2006 , I think it was a thread called cast the JLA… and I recall someone suggesting Wes Bentley as Dick Grayson. Was that you? I loved that cast. I think they had Kiefer Sutherland as Green Arrow and Viggo Mortensen as Aquaman too.
