yeah I even reckon marvel uses it sometimes as a pitching board. Ideas that became popular here have suddenly appeared in the mcu. Which is a good thing, if the fans are happy others are happy too

Yep. And it wasn't so long ago that Mattson Tomlin (of The Batman fame) referenced one of Eddie Dean's jokes about the writer's potential family ties to Lily Tomlin. That was great!

Might be a little older than they would want to go but Isaiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire, Your Honor, Cocaine Bear) would absolutely CRUSH Perry White.

I keep going back to him as Brainiac but that seems too obvious.

Talented actor, no doubt, but my gut says that Perry will be a name actor & although he’s recognizable, I don’t think Whitlock has the name cache for a role like Perry. Maybe a good Turpin though

Yeah. It definitely works, but I don’t think Gunn’s going to run the risk of repeating himself like that.

Great choice.

I’d love to see Gunn merge Sam Lane with the Henry Bendix/Weatherman character & run Stormwatch (and The Authority) as the US government’s black-ops response to Superman and the proliferation of meta-humans in the DCU.

If not Czerny, JK Simmons is right there.

He basically played the role I’m envisioning as General Eiling in the DCAU:

He absolutely could if he brought that Gone Girl energy. There are definitely better picks, but I wouldn't be mad at Perry.

Shot in the dark but would anyone have a problem with them just keeping Laurence Fishburne as Perry?

I think he did fine in the role, and since Gunn is open to keeping DCEU actors and it sound like they they're looking to cast another middle-aged African-American actor anyway, I figure why not just keep him.

He was fine in the role, but nah. Just move on. No need in keeping him as the sole constant. The core actors he’s keeping are fairly irreplaceable in Cena, Davis and Robbie imo.

I'd take Andre Braugher as Perry. I know he's got a great voice for Darkseid, but I think he could make a great Perry White.
