It looks that this movie is a fighter and will do wonderous on DVD. I Have a feeling that it will make enough money in the end for a third.

Its now up to just over $75 million DOM according to BOMojo. MIGHT reach $76 million if we are lucky.

Do we know the numbers internationally... like how well did it hold up over the weekend in the UK... with its Wednesday opening?

^According to the-numbers.com its up to just over $108 million now, so it roughly made about $8 million over its first weekend in the UK, not the best I suppose. The report is strange though, it says there were no new openings internationally for HB2, when it opened in the Uk over the weekend.

Ok, mister negative, that doesn't mean anything, yeah the posibility of third is slim but that doesn't mean it can't happen. I never thought in a million years they were going to make a second film and they did. it took them 4 yrs. but they still did it.

^Del Toro always has about 4-5 movies on the go at the same time, it just depends which one he picks at the time. HBII will end up with a pretty good WW total, it just depends on whether Universal want to pump money into it again.

^I dont see why not, its upto $127 million WW at the moment and counting, its not like the budgets for these movies are huge either. Guess we'll see, but Universal isnt really known for making sequel's when the movie only makes a little profit.

It will probably end with about $75M domestic. The first film made about $40M internationally, so hopeful this one can make $60. That would give a combined world wide gross of $135 mill.

^I think WW it'll end up with more than $135 million, it hasnt even opened in a lot places yet. Good guess on the domestic front though.

The marketing campaign appeared to be pretty good for this film so when I saw the box office I was a little surprised it made so little and then it made perfect sense. The first Hellboy simply wasn't very good and many ppl including myself remembered that so now it makes perfect sense that it only made 75 million.

^What are you talking about? Most people loved the first movie and this one, it was simply a stupid decision to open this one against TDK as that movie was a juggernaut.

Anyway, looks like HB2 has finished its domestic run, just short of $76 million.
