Supposed leaked Hulk scene. Now, there is a seen with Banner in here. He's walking through the forest. His eyes turn green and you here what sounds like the Hulks roar. You see the trees being moved by something big. The rest in the begging looks like something outts pirates if the carribean. The rest after that looks out of place as well. In the end there's the Ragnsrok logo and that's all.

I think Hulk will really come in handy in the final battle as I see him fending off or distracting the baddie or whatever fodder is involved, only to buy time for Thor to muster up enough lighting for his godblast.

Is this the HULK in THOR3 thread or the "Let's relitigate the Tasha/Bruce thing from AoU" thread?

Just my thoughts exactly. I skipped 90% of page 7, cuz I got so tired of all the Brutasha bs.

Concerning the actual thread, I'd desperately want to have Hulk talk a minimum of 7 times (just saying yes or no doesn't count). I wish I could say I have faith in the director, but Idk who he is. I wish the Russo brothers directed every superhero movie Marvel put out. Just completely run them into the ground until phase 5 is complete.:woot:

If you don't like something, bringing up something that ended like 2 months ago isn't the smartest way to go about it. It's not like they were completely OT either since they were discussing the character's last outing and that naturally has to play into this one.

...that's a deleted scene from Dark World. That was Right before Thor joined the Warriors Three and Sif Vanaheim. That's the Stone Giant making his way through the woods, that's a fan made video

How can we discuss Bruce's next movie appearance without considering the implications from AoU (whether its his role in creating Ultron, his rampage in Johannesberg or his crappy romance with Nat)? But it's a Thor movie so he may not get much of a role at all. I assume the best we can expect is something similar to IMs role in CW and we don't know how much screentime Tony will get at the moment. Considering all the great story options Marvel has for his character, if his role focuses on him being a love sick puppy missing Nat I will be disappointed.

But, I must admit that I hope we get more Hulk & Thor interactions than Banner & Thor. The chemistry between the former pairing has been more compelling than the latter imo. And I hope Marvel give Hulk at least a few words to say.

Posted this over in the main thread, but belongs here too. Geek.com have a scoop on how Hulk gets involved:

What we’ve learned has lined up with what Ruffalo is sharing, plus a long-standing rumor about the future of the Hulk dating back to fandom’s post-Avengers cries in 2013. Back then, audiences were enthralled by that movie’s version of The Hulk and how he was funny, well-powered, and not a drag like he had been in the two previous Hulk movies that made it to screens.

The rumour was that Marvel was planning to weave the character through the Avengers “Phases” in a creative way, banishing the Hulk from Earth after Avengers 2, spinning off into his own Planet Hulk movie (based on the Greg Pak comics storyline of the same name) and returning him to Earth in Phase Three in some sort of World War Hulk (also a comic book storyline) Avengers movie. The specifics of that arc were outright denied by Marvel staff over and over again, leading up to Joss Whedon’s follow-up (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and after the Hulk mysteriously steals a Quinjet and disappears at the end of that movie.

When Joss Whedon was asked if Planet Hulk or World War Hulk were going to be a Phase Three movies, his response was: “Well I’m really not supposed to comment, but no, that’s nonsense.” Which is what makes what follows all the more amazing.

According to our sources, after Thor catches on to Hela and Loki’s (still mysterious) plot that is going down in Asgard, Hela destroys Mjolnir, and banishes Thor from Asgard. Loki and Hela’s plan involves the major arc of the Marvel Universe, and just when it looks like Thor is about to put a stop to it, he gets banished — but not to any old planet. He ends up on a gladiatorial planet where his head is shaved and he’s forced to fight for his life. Let’s call this planet Sakaar, like it was in the comic books.

Thor knows that he has to get to some MacGuffin weapon object to defeat Hela and Loki (could this be the Infinity Gauntlet that Thanos is in possession of, or maybe an assemblage of Infinity Stones?) and he has to get off the planet. Thor runs through all of his alien opponents in gladiatorial combat, even without his trademark hammer. Finally, Thor has to face the current champion of the arena, and wouldn’t you know who that ends up being? The Hulk.

When we reconnect with Hulk in Thor: Ragnarok, he’s managed to avoid reverting back to the Banner state since we last saw him in the Quinjet in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Hulk in Hulk form is pretty much unkillable, so he survived the trip to Sakaar (however he got there). His “Banner” is starting to seep through into the Hulk persona, and because of the Hulk-Banner melding, Hulk actually remembers Thor and his relationship to him. That’s what starts the two on a Midnight Run to the MacGuffin that Thor desperately needs.

Some of these details could shift like the sands of time considering the shooting script for Thor: Ragnarok hasn’t been locked down, but sources confirm that the outline is there: Marvel found a way to include the Planet Hulk storyline without having to attempt a solo Hulk movie where everyone is a CGI character, not to mention dealing with the character’s solo movie rights (which has some sort of hold-up with Universal). Instead, gladiator Chris Hemsworth will be the audience’s focus as Thor picks up Hulk on his road-trip through the stars.

I'm okay with this if we finally get some Hulk dialogue

Ruffalo's word on Hulk's role.

"It’s not on the horizon," Ruffalo tells Yahoo! about a solo Hulk film. "And I don’t know if it will be," he concludes - but that's okay. The big guy will be popping up in the next Thor movie come 2017, followed by culminating Avengers: Infinity War films in 2018 and 2019.

“But we’ve worked a really interesting arc into Thor 3, Avengers 3 and 4 for Banner that I think will – when it’s all added up – will feel like a Hulk movie, a standalone movie," Ruffalo says.

Thor 3-Thor after going on an epic adventure through the realms to stop Ragnarok finds Hulk who has been captured and stranded on Sakaar and forced to fight. The two fight and break free of being gladiators and Hulk decides to stay on the planet where he found love and peace. Thor stays in Asgard a ruler since Odin has died and takes the Odin force.
Infinity Pt.2-The jet that Hulk was in when he was captured was also on the planet it explodes and Hulk blames Stark and humans. Hulk comes back to Earth enraged that his planet was desimated by the explosion. He wages war on humanity but after going the MCU assembles to stophim and are unable Stark presents himself and after a quick tustle where he looses this time. Apologizes. A few hours later the Gaurdians arrive on Earth warning the heroes that Thanos is coming.

IW Pt.2-Throught the films after AoU Thanos has been assembling gems and now has all except Visions headstone. Thanos is trveling to Earth and they send a group of heroes out to distract him and have some stay to formulate a plan. The heroes assembled are demolished by Thanos as he takes the last gem killing Vision and all seems hopeless. But the heroes initiate there plan allowing Thanos to be vunerable for an actual battle. In the midst of the real battle some heroes die and moments we've always wanted to see are fufilled. Eventually Thanos is defeated and the heroes provail. The Gaurdians lock away Thanos and the Avengers go to Earth.

Or domething completely and absolutely different. I dunno. Half of that didn't even involve the Hulk

Sounds like we are getting a smarter Hulk.

When asked how that may play out in the film, Waititi replied, "It's interesting, because at the moment, there's a big conversation that's happening about how far to push that. Whether or not The Hulk should be [verbal/conscious]."

"I think a lot of those conversations have more to do with what's going to come up in future movies,” Waititi continued. “So I think a lot of those decisions are larger group decisions, rather than anything to do with just me or the writer. They have a lot of stuff that they have to consider. But I do think that's the best way to track it. I think we all want that. I think we all want to see that development and the evolution of that character. I also think you can do it in a fun way."

They don't even need to make in super smart, keep him true to character and have him talk like the Hulk does in the traditional Comics. Heck he called Loki and Puny God in the first Avengers Movie, he said "leave me alone" and "Hulk Smash" in the Incredible Hulk Movie. Marvel has displayed that he understands directions in the movies he has been in. They could just have him come off as the strong silent type, but will speak if needed, but just don't have him speak very intelligent.

I REALLY love what we've been hearing about the Hulk these past few weeks.

It's great that we are getting a smarted Hulk who can speak and interact more. I thought AOU took him backwards in that regard. So it will be great to see him as more of the Hulk we know in the comics.

It would be interesting if this was the film where we got some "Hulk" characterization.

I remember them saying something about the nature of the transformation for PLANET HULK and I think you could work some of that out here. If I am recalling it right, the idea was that on Sakkar, Banner would be dead in an instant. It was too dangerous a world. So, he stayed Hulked out, as the Hulk side knew that Banner wouldn't survive easily without being his big green self.

Could be we get some of that here? Banner gets transported somewhere in the Nine Realms, and it's too dangerous to be just Bruce, so he stays Hulked for extended periods, however in staying in his power form, Banner comes through still, and the Hulk is shown talking in simple phrases and having some rational thought and control.

Well based off Jane going to Asgard and Svartalfheim, it seems the other realms are at least oxygen rich and hospitable to human life, but I guess Sakaar or Hel or Muspelheim could be much harder on human physiology.

I'd like seeing Hulk talk to Bruxe and vice versa. In Hulks head. Kinda like in the 2003 Hulk where Brice and Hulk shared that mirror moment.

Could be the "danger" keeping Banner Hulked out isn't environmental in nature (Oxygen/Gravity ect ) but based on the power levels of the "native life forms". ;)

I mean, drop Banner on the world of the Frost Giants and that's a tall order for any normal human being to get through just based on temperature, now add in the Jotuns and ice monsters and who knows what else.

Peter David used the "astral plane" or the inner world of Banner's mind as a way to show the two communicating.

Is the Avengers/Mark Ruffalo Hulk the same Hulk from The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton? Like are they both still canon to each other?

Yes, for the most part. Banner mentioned the Harlem fight with Abomination in Avengers ("...I kind of broke Harlem"). William Hurt is back as General Ross in Captain America Civil War. So yes the movie is still canon in spite of Norton being replaced by Ruffalo.
