The HULK Thread

Valkyrie helps rescue them after seeing what Hela and Loki are doing to Asgard. Skurge is Hela's Henchie and is holding Odin.

I don't like the idea of a character that we haven't seen or heard about in the movies before suddenly riding in save the day.

"Helps" is a far cry from "save the day". She would also be introduced earlier in the movie. She will play an outside infiltrator to free Thor and Hulk. She's the only real protagonist that isn't going to be in the arena.

So long as Valkyrie doesn't take over. Since she is going to be in more than one movie, how they use her could go one of two ways:

1: They use her sparingly, this movie is just introducing her and she'll be fleshed out more in subsequent movies.

or

2. They really push the character hard to try and build some momentum behind her so that she can be used as a draw for future movies. I hope they don't go this route.

I really think Hulk speaking could be a great thing to tease in a Ragnarok movie trailer. Imagine a close-up of an angry Hulk's face and him saying: "Leave...them...alone!" (or something like that), and then clips of him flinging enemies about in an epic battle. The Hulk hasn't had a lot of opportunity to be an actual hero yet in the MCU, and imagining him knowing what he's doing and fighting heroically honestly gives me chills just thinking about it.

I think we should consider a possibility: Hulk was in Asgard, at *Thor's* behest. He basically offered a place for a friend where he wouldn't have to be afraid of accidentally destroying cities.

And then when Thor gets banished/sent on long mission/otherwise put out of the way, Banner gets sent along with him.

By Asgardian standards, Hulk is practically a vegan Buddhist yoga teacher.

I hope Hulk gets a good character arc and befriends some Asgardians.

For some reason I can imagine him and Volstagg hitting it off

"It's an intergalactic buddy road movie with Banner and Thor. I think it will be smashing. You'll see a lot more Hulk. The Hulk gets Hulk-ier. The Hulk Hulks out. Hulk-ier and bigger."

:hehe:

Oop, confirmation that the new hulk will be played by Nigel Thornberry yaaaaaaay!!!!

Does that mean Hulk will do this...with my hands?

I'd prefer this. With all the different aliens in the Norse realms, there's no need for hero vs. hero. That has been done to death...although bickering is good.

This story's ending should be considered...

So with the new JoBlo news confirming Planet Hulk involvement - it's pretty clear the Grandmaster will be responsible for bringing Hulk to whatever planet the gladiator ring is on.

The question is how? Does he go willingly or is he subdued?

Why thinks that Loki will be some kind of sidekick or assistant to thanos?

I just hope he wears anything. :o

I hear Ang Lee is taking over directing duties. He wants to go with his original vision of having the 15ft Hulk run around naked. :o

Because exactly what we need, the Hulk's giant "rage parts" flopping around everywhere whenever he moves. That'd be great in a movie that parents will undoubtedly take their kids to see. ;)

It's not a Hulk movie unless a mutated poodle gets punched in the nuts

That's what will bring about Ragnarok.

Sounds like this is a Hulk movie disguised as a Thor movie so Marvel Studios can keep all the profit made. Its a brilliant move on their part! Well played!

It's not like that. Marvel already proved they can handle multiple characters in solo movies like TWS and CW. I think it's not an adaptation, more like borrowing elements from the Planet Hulk story to justify Hulk's presence in a cosmic movie like Ragnarok.

BTW I'm excited we'll see Hulk in his PH armor, now make him talk!
