The Hunger Games - Part 2

isnt it just great that we have a young actress on who we can be proud ?
It is wonderful. She's very beautiful in a bombshell type of way, is magnetic on screen and can act. That's really rare in Hollywood, I mean there is Jolie and Theron but they are the exception to the rule.

Usually it's mediocre to bad actresses like Blake Lively, Megan Fox and Jessica Alba. Not a fan of Scar-Jo either but that seems to be a controversial one so I won't mention it right now...except to mention it.

I think Emma Stone is a great little actress. Not sure most people would say she's a bombshell, but i think she's gorgeous.

I think there's a flux of young actresses with great potentials in Hollywood right now, such as Emily Blunt, Emma Stone, Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, and yes even ScarJo. However, I think Jennifer Lawrence may become the cream of the crop although she doesn't have that many movies under her belt yet. Winter's Bone may be her first Oscar nod but I think it is just the first of many that she will get in the future.

Oh, I love Emma Stone. I agree with your assessment of her looks and talent wholeheartedly. She's one to watch.

You have a point but I don't agree about Scar-jo. That's just an agree to disagree thing.

I remember I watched Easy A, not really expecting to enjoy it, but it was awesome. Loved her in Crazy, Stupid, Love and Zombieland too.

yeah i need to watch Help from Stone. i have not seen her in a serious movie.

I think ScarJo has proved her merit in movies like Lost in Translation, Match Point, and Vicky Cristina Barcelona. But it's okay if you don't like her.

I don't but ditto and reverse to you. I don't hate her or anything but I think that she is wildly overrated.

Same here. She's done nothing for me to consider her a top-tier actress. In my eyes, ScarJo is overrated.

I think she is overrated, in that she's been riding on the coat tails of her other performances from the past. Lost in Translation, Girl with the Pearl Earring, Vicky Christina Barcelona. Great performances.

But that is... pretty much it. 3 good performances in her entire career and people act like she's amazing. It baffles me. Hopefully under Whedon's direction and with his script she has a good role to get stuck into in Avengers.

not overrated just has'nt done anything amazing in a bit

she was fine in we bought a zoo

Lost in Translation has been her best work thus far, in my honest opinion. I truly enjoyed her acting in that movie.

Let's hope so. She appeared to be far from eye-candy in The Avengers' final trailer. Her facial expressions were damn good.

I just realize that we are off topic but whocares because there is nothing to talk about right now.

People should let discussions flow naturally. I hate it when people are having a discussion about something then someone comes in and is like "Get back on topic!"

Hey how about giving orders, you get us back on topic by saying something interesting about the topic?

Unless we cover Rue-Gate again... :o :hehe:

Oh god no, I do not want to cover that again. Although I've never seen fans get angry (a very few admittedly) that the right kind of person was cast in a role. Usually they don't want any changes.

I do that sometimes.:o To fair if the topic veers off into politics in the entertainment forum I think that somebody should be the forum police.

^No stop talking it. Let's ignore what the sons and daughters of a grand wizard thinks about The Hunger Games.

BTW:

My sister who so didn't want to see the movie saw it this past weekend and really liked it. Hell, she liked it more than I did. And then we talked about how awesome J-Law is.

One of my cousins posted on Facebook posted this weekend how she'd just found what the Hunger Games were about (she'd never heard of the books before) and thought it was disturbing that people were excited about a movie where children kill each other for sport.

All of the responses she got were from people who read the books (including me) explaining that books were about more than that.

Finally she responded saying she was so offended now that she was going to Barnes & Noble first thing in the morning and buying the books. :oldrazz:

I always thought that was the Thread Managers'/Moderators' job. I've seen other threads really really go off topic for several pages and I sometimes applaud those who reminds others what the thread topic is.

However, I dont mind a side discussion here or there.

Your cousin is funny. And now that's another book sale for Suzanne Collins and publisher.
