The "I hated Spider-Man 3" Thread!

Here are my reasons:

-Harry's temporary amnesia (the most contrived plot device ever)
-Marko running into a particle physics experiment and the scientists commenting "it's just a bird".
-The experiment turning everything into sand except for the locket with his daughter's picture. Why did that not turn to sand either?
-Sandman getting washed away and dissolved in the water and then reconstituting himself and conveniently finding the locket.
-The asteroid crashing to earth right by Peter and MJ with out them noticing it and the black goo randomly sticking onto Pete's moped.
-The absolutely underdeveloped motivation of Sandman robbing banks to help his daughter.
-Harry and MJ doing the Twist. Did this take place in 1955?
-MJ singing
-Peter strutting, pointing at girls, doing pelvic thrusts etc.
-Peter's emo hair style showing that he's now turning evil.
-Peter going on the the date with Gwen and then randomly dancing (I thought he might whip out his flute and start jamming like he's Ron Burgundy from Anchorman) and playing the piano to make MJ jealous.
-The pointlessness of Gwen and her police commissioner father.
-Spider-Man encouraging Gwen to kiss him when he knows that MJ is right there watching.
-Eddie Brock praying for Jesus to kill Peter Parker for getting him fired for his forgeries and going on a date with Gwen
-Peter having such a hard time ripping the black suit off in the church when he had no problem taking it off before.
-Eddie Brock not only being at the same church, but being able to recognize that it was peter from so far away and the black goo conveniently falling on him.
-Eddie getting fangs when Peter did not.
-All of Venom's lines had to be delivered by showing Eddie's face
-Venom and Sandman teaming up was to forced and weird.
-Harry's random butler conveniently waiting til now to tell Harry the truth.
-Harry and Spider-Man teaming up, too predictable.
-Goblin's lame flying snow board.
-Goblin's bombs completely destroying Venom, but only scarring Harry's face.
-Spider-Man forgiving Sandman and Sandman blowing off into the sunset.
-Goblin stepping in front of Spider-man to save him at he last minute.
-Venom's weakness being sound waves from the pipes.
-The British reporter.

Ahahahahah IDOL! I add:
- Captain Stacy that just lift his shoulders seeing his daughter is gonna be to die
- The commentary live during the final battle, i missed to vote by phone who's gonna win

Anybody who says this movie sucks is most likely a childish idiot.

Considering the level of the second chapter, very far away from this third, it's to save only for the CGI and the action scenes. "It sucks" sounds idiot, but the movie was made really bad.

I think a lot of you guys are being a little too critical. The movie was good, acting was fine. Maybe sometimes, its corniness got a little out of control, but it was funny. And weren't the comics just as corny sometimes? I can understand why some people don't like the movie, but the nit picking drives me crazy. The only thing that really bothered me was the news/British reporter. Since when do people watch Spider-Man on live TV when he fights?

I guess if you like a movie like this you don't care about substance. I just don't see how you could compare this movie to a good blockbuster film like SM2. That movie could play to a wide audience cause it made you care. SM3 is the exact opposite of that type of film. It makes you feel like everything is completely worthless.

acting was fine

Maguire was horrible. A fish in a bowl. I just can save Dunst and Franco. Others was normal. Peter's characterization is the worst i've seen in the entire Spidey's saga.

I have been viewing the boards for about 2 years now.. and I respect the open views and legit opinions from the true fans.

I haven’t registered for the boards due to time... But I cannot believe how much of a let down this last film turned out to be, especially for the fans that have followed the franchise.

Being skeptical of the critics reviews, like usual, I wanted to see the movie before reading any of their actual reviews so I had an unbiased opinion. Walking in the theater I was a bit worried from the heavy amount of characters being thrown around. From the very opening scene the movie I was starting to wonder where the next hour was going to take me.

Halfway through the movie I was starting to wonder if I was on a ‘punked’.

Harry losing his memory..

No build up for the characters. Sandman and ‘doing the right thing’.. Brock appearing in church praying to god to kill spiderman..

Black spiderman didn’t even exist. It was emo funny parker embarrassing himself.

Horrible depiction.

As for the ending..killing off the fans most popular and sought after villain after only showing him for 10 minutes..

why did they let this movie go into theaters..

I'm almost at 10,000. El Payaso's pretty high too. Both of us got our high post counts through trolling though. I trolled the crap out of fantastic four when that came out.

It was the same as this...

Spidey 3 will fall into the same bargain bin with that movie.

I seriously, honestly think I am through with Marvel Comics movies....seriously.

They cannot get a single movie right! How hard is it? You have the stories already written for you....with pictures too!

I wont even get into my gripes with all the Marvel movies, today its about SM3.

I dont think I've ever been so hyped up about a movie, and then I sit and watch this. I shoulda just watched Days of our lives while flipping to a Spiderman cartoon during commercials. Hell the preview for this movie is better than the flick.

Whether you like Venom or not, as a director you have the makings for one of the best flicks ever just by having him present.

And a meteor from the sky? OMG I dont want to see the whole secret wars or anything, but you could have at least had John Jameson (an astronaut mind you) bring it down from space or something.

If I was Stan Lee, I'd be to embarrassed about this flick to even show my face in it!

This movie was absolutely horrible and because of it, I will not see another Marvel flick in theatres again.

The ONLY way Marvel can redeem themselves in my eyes is if they gather every hero and villain theyve made in a movie to date, and have them fighting Thanos or something.

What am I saying? Theyd ruin that too.

I think Marvel should just sell the Spiderman license already. DC would do a better job of making this flick.

And why do they always try to waterdown and change comic book movies to suit the general public? Comic book fans are what make Comic book movies huge sucesses, not the general public. The general public goes to see the movie after they hear how great it was from the comic fans.

I SERIOUSLY despise Marvel film making after this and will refuse to buy a ticket to another Marvel flick, or even buy a DVD.

wow have never seen so much negativity in one place,lol, i vnt seen sm3 yet, but it cant be as bad as what you all ranting about, its a movie enjoy it for what it is,you cant expect it all to be perfect, would like to see one of you guys get a job as a producer and actually produce something good. x3 and ff has met your wrath too, those two movies i enjoyed , simply because i went into the cinema expectingto see a fun filled comic book movie and i got that, if i wanted to see something more serious, i would ve gone to see 88minutes ( recommend that ) batman begins wasnt even all that , but i guess you all jump on the bandwagon once someone claims its a good movie

I enjoyed X3 SR HULK and SM3... they all have problems, but all I wanted when I wnet to see them is to have fun for 2+ hours, the only way I will ever get a comic book movie that I toatlly like, will be if I make one

and yeah BB was fun, but I dobn´t see why people keep saying that is the more realistic comic book movie... that a guy with no powers is more real than an alien or people geting powers from science accidents..maybe...

but in Comic book universe, I think that a flying invulnerable alien and a nerd wall crawler is more belieable than a guy that runs in rooftops dress up as a bat and that also rides a huge tank that the police can see and bad guys doesn´t try to shoot him in the face

Actually I was a HUGE batman fan (I liked him almost as much as Superman)... but after BB...I don´t know batman has lost some of his charm to me
