Where did this pic come from? Are there others?

It was a motion poster advertising that Netflix will be worldwide, iirc.

The cowl mainly looks weird when he's looking down; straight on like there and its fine.

It looks better when there's less lighting.

Which is a thing you should never have to say. People always said about the TDK(R) suits too "well, it doesn't look as bad when the parts that make it look bad can't be seen".

It should look good just standing in daylight. You shouldn't have to hide anything.

Both Daredevil and Batman are characters who operate 90% of the time at night.

I don't think we saw Daredevil once last season in costume (either one) in daylight.

It's irrelevant how a costume would look in light if it's never shown that way.

Frankly, I like the suit better in daylight from what we've seen because it avoids that awkward purple color it had at the end of last season (I still don't like the design, but we're talking comparatively). I'm sure it'll look good in true darkness (part of the reason why they put so much black in it, I'm guessing), but we haven't really gotten a good look at that.

I'm just not a fan of it. Doesn't look like Daredevil to me.

I don't understand how people don't get lighting on here. Colors change when they are put under different lights. It's not going to stay red in every situation.

Happens with every costume/design of every movie/sho on the Hype.

Purple Apocalypse anyone? Or sepia Wonder Woman?

Well, they can control lighting to a significant degree and can use fabric that reacts better to common lighting. Even when lighting explains something doesn't mean there isn't a problem with how it looks.

Still, suits not changing just yet. So ya might as well deal with it.

We saw it under 2 lighting setups last season. I'm sure there will be many moments in the upcoming season where he'll look red enough for you ;)

I'm sure he will. Like I said, I thought the suit looked better in daylight.

My complaints are all that black spots on it more than anything else.

Yeah granted, all we've seen so far are stills, and we haven't gotten much in the way of actual footage of the suit in action for this season. It's not like I hate the design, I was just hoping for some more tweaks this season.

As long as the fights stay top notch I'll be a happy camper.

Honestly, when DD first shows up in the costume (on top of the truck; taking out the henchman), it's the perfect shade of red.

However, once we go into the alley for the final fight, the costume looks a shade of purple.

But as others have said, that's due to lighting. It can make the costume look red or a shade of purple.

Lighting is one of the pros/cons of this series. On the one hand They're matching New York City's distinct look which adds great texture and style that feels true to life. On the other hand the look of street lighting isn't always the best. And it gets difficult balancing the color of your lighting to match the city's light while at the same time and getting the best image for the camera. It is interesting how the yellow light is the more common overhead street light while the blue is the new LED street lights.

Weird question but has DD ever used the horns in battle? Like to stab an enemy? Is it possible he's use them here as a weapon in some last resort moment.

This pic works well because the eyes can be distinguished and the underside of the neck is not visible. I mentioned in a previous post his eyes blend in too much in most angles the suit is photoed/filmed under. Make the eyes a redder red (or the entire suit a brighter red and keep the eyes black)and make sure that cowl hugs the underside of the chin/neck and he'll be alright.

It doesn't look anywhere near as red as The Flash even in daylight. Flash doesn't have the "purple" problem at all. Affleck's suit didn't have it either. They just chose the wrong shade.

Flash most definitely has a burgundy problem, and Afflck's suit was in the dark 98% of the time, as well as the internet set pics not being as big or readily available compared to Cox's, so it's not a fair comparison.

I laughed my ass off reading this question! :funny: And now I'm curious to know that too.
