Is it just me or are they deliberately making it look obvious that Daredevil is blind?

The eyes on the costume sort of do look like the eyes of a blind man, am I the only one seeing this?

I think the lenses are red, like in the concept art... I just don't think they appear that way unless they have light shining directly on them.

I don't know why they went with the blackish face... bad design decision.

Is it me or can you see his actual eyes through the lenses?

I'm assuming the gun Berthnal is holding is the one he's gonna give DD to see if he has the balls to shoot him.

Not saying Cox is a short guy as such, but imo the horns costume would have looked better on a tall guy, like someone 6'1 or 6'2 or rather someone with a high Chest/waist ratio

On Cox/the stuntmen it doesn't look sleek enough as it does in the concept art

He had the v taper going on in the black suit. The red suit takes that away.

The costume just looks too blocky and angular. If they smoothed down the mask it would be better. Affleck's mask had a better shape and contours.

Exactly. The horns look like some weird bolts on his head since the shape isn't a cone. They serve no purpose other than as a "devil" so make them cones and remove all the lines on the helmet.

Look at these armours here:

What do you notice about them? They have a torso musculature showing moulded pecs and abs in varying degrees of subtlety or prominence. They aren't angular or blocky at all. These were built at the time of the Romans. Other civilizations have had something similar. Surely the designers could've come up with a thin, custom-made body armour that looked aesthetically pleasing as well yet still offered protection instead of it having to look so pronounced in all its protective pieces.

They could've come up with something like the 2nd pic.

I don't know. I still like the costume. I think the mask could be improved, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.

I don't like the costume, mostly because there are flaws that are almost deliberately there and can be easily sorted without a radical overhaul. For instance, the amount of black in the costume just bugs me. It has absolutely no design significance- I'm not saying get rid of all of it but at least make it more red than black.

If the entire mask was red, and the nose was exposed, it would look a LOT better.

People are so salty about this costume. You love the old, black look because you watched it for 12 episodes and only had one episode with the improved red one. Of course it's not going to look great in that one episode as it was used for 2 or 3 scenes. They'll iron out the fit issues for season 2 and maybe it'll grow on you when you see it move. As Loki said, it's one thing to design an outfit on paper/in Photoshop, it's another to translate that to a physical form and make it look/fit like the drawing does.

Also those muscle plates/armor would look so bad on a superhero costume... Well maybe not on Hercules or Ares... if they ever make it to the MCU.

It only took 2-3 scenes of the black suit and I knew I liked it. To me the first impression is the most important. If I have to grow to like something or it takes me a while then there's something wrong. I hate the neanderthal brow no matter how many times I look at it.

I will agree with you on that -- the brow is probably my biggest/only issue. The rest of them are easy to get over.

I am no costume designer...I'm just on lunch.

That's much better, except for the nose. I get what you were going for but it doesn't quite work. Do you have one with the nose unaltered?

Im talking bout the adam west batman DD manip above.

Ah, I get you now. Well, I got the idea because the black face really reminded me of West's cowl, so I though it might look funny if I put the painted lines on.

Also, the top of the mask going just above the tip of the nose is very similar to West's cowl as well.

I honestly think people just THINK it does. I don't see any difference from Season 1.

I actually do think it fits him better this season. The flaws people are pointing out have to do with he aesthetic designs which haven't changed but if you look at the pic of Matt chained up the whole suit and cowl cling to him much better.

I'd be shocked if with all time time they've had they didn't ensure that the suit would fit Charlie better for a whole seasons worth of action as opposed to just 15 minutes worth.

You know a lot of people say they want the Billy Cubs swinging device but realistically speaking how the hell would that work?
