Some of these designs can hardly be called suits anymore. No man can fit in this.

They're cool nonetheless.

Exactly. His days of having to change his suits inside his mansion are over. I can't wait to see how the Extremis will alter him in the Avengers 2.

technically those days were over during Avengers. If you remember the Mark 7 suit was able to travel on its own and assemble itself around him. Yes it did do that in free fall but I dont see why it could not do that on the ground as well without the need for the robotic arm assemble/disassemble pod.

actually if you look closely the reason the arms are so long is so that the length of normal suit arms fits in the upper arm part..you an actually see the fingers of a gauntlet before the hydraulics start. same with the feet.

Does the Mark V even have flight capability and weapons apart from hand repulsors??

Because it will take a while to fly to him, he can carry it around in a crate where ever he travels so it will at least be closer

I recall reading that in one of the comics Tony kept his armor in geosynchronous orbit above his location so that it could just zip down to him. But I can't recall where I read that and whether it was the Extremis armor or Bleeding Edge or what have you.

I would assume it does. If he can build repulsors into the hands, they are probably on his feet too.

must have been extremis armor, his bleeding egde armor was literally in his body

Interesting:

The scene where he sends a fake Iron Man to Pepper and pretends it’s him could be that classic man thing of, “I just don’t want to deal with my girlfriend,” but I think it’s really Tony not wanting to be intimate. It’s a barrier between Pepper and Tony that he doesn’t necessarily want to cross. I think it’s painful for him to fully commit to her with his whole heart, because there’s a lot in there and he’s still reckoning with how to deal with it.

I think the scenes in the first trailer that showed an Iron Man armor operating without either Tony *or* Pepper in it are starting to make more sense now.

Can't wait to see some more!

I've been trying to find the Hall of Armor unlock thingy ... anyone care to point me in the right direction?

I am going to be so disappointed if the rumors are true that [BLACKOUT]Mandarin plays second fiddle to Killian in the film [/BLACKOUT]. To say that [BLACKOUT]the Mandarin is not Tony's true arch-nemesis[/BLACKOUT] shows absoluely no understanding of the source material. He's had numerous arcs and appearances over the years, recenently even being the antagonist of a 13 issue arc (circa 2006-2007) and 16 issue mega arc (circa 2011-2012). If that doesn't prove relevance than I don't know what does. [BLACKOUT]Killian's[/BLACKOUT] relevance? Two pages in one single issue. That's literally the extent of the character's comic counterpart. Two pages. Following this movie is like a rollercoaster of excitement and disappointment.

We've had that discussion before. It remains to be seen if those rumors are true. I'm hoping they're not, mostly because of the reasons you talked about.

Ask him who the main villain is!
That's all I can say CK. Remember we're under the same contract ANYONE who sees a Rough cut film. SOMETIMES Security Can stink, because he couldn't tell ME either. :csad:

Seems that we are getting a bit of a homage to the children's story "the Iron Man" by Ted Hughes, which was used as a basis for the animated "the Iron Giant". Pete Townshend even did a musical based on it back in the late 80's, and released it as a solo album.

I find it interesting the kids name is Harley, fairly similar to Hogarth from the books. Obviously it's just a small snippet from the movie, but nice that they are paying homage to that.
