Harley agrees.

Oh that kid was awesome :awesome:

Saw it for the 3rd and hopefully the final time. Don't wanna see it again but it just pulls me into it. Feel so helpless lol

Yeah one of my problems with the movie is that the armors basically became like tissue paper.

Mark 42 was kind of a disappointment.

I thought the reason they were gettin ripped up so easily was to show how powerful the extremis soldiers were. Maybe a little too powerful though,I agree.

Yeah that's one of peeves I have as well.

I think that was done to represent Stark's current state of losing his mind a little.

He's working on suits so obsessively that he stays up for days straight which causes his work to suffer.

I can picture him going, "...Shame about the flooding over in...WAIT!!!!...I need a suit for that!! Ok...what if *blank* happens...need a suit for it!!...Oh man...I'll be screwed if *blank* happens and I don't have a suit for it...and it could happen any minute!!!!" *builds suits...builds suits...builds suits...doesn't sleep...builds suits....*

I think he's frantic about trying to protect Pepper from any danger imaginable after what happened in New York shook him up that there are BIG things out there that can harm him, but more importantly, her.

That's one thing I didn't have so much of a problem with, I just wish it hadn't been played for laughs so much.

I've read complaints where people going saying "if the suit could withstand Thor's hammer, why can Killan/extremis soldiers destroy them so easily?"

The obvious answer is one is blunt force, and another is extreme heat - which melts metal. Extremis soldiers are able to burn at 3,000 degrees C, which is more than enough to melt metal.

Also I'd throw in the whole 'Superman pulling his punches' theory there two. The only strike in that fight, where Thor looks like he actually intends SERIOUS damage is when he jumps at Cap.

Giveyourself made a good point:

You could also argue that Tony Stark was getting so manic and stressed out with the new armor models that he was getting sloppy and the overall armors were not as strong as the Mark 6's or 7's.

I love the effect the events of new york seemed to have on the world. It's cool. It's like, before the MCU was just a few characters, but now after that, the whole world knows about super heros and super villains.

I read:

Marvel's next one-shot short film will be released in 2014 and will be titled MARVEL ONE SHOT: THE PROLOGUE. The short will be made from unused footage from Iron Man 3 featuring Dr. Wu and his assistant. JARVIS is said to make an appearance.

Nice. I'm assuming the extra scenes from the 'Chinese version' will be in there... minus the hokey (from what I've read) product placement stuff. Wonder if there'll be any new scenes filmed or whether it will be completely made from footage that didn't make the IM3 movie, proper.

So this has probably been mentioned, but after seeing the post-credits scene again, I notice Tony says he was fourteen in 1983. Born in 1969. Making him 44 in Christmas of 2013.

Imagine if Jarvis went rogue and became bad. That would be scary to me.

"Good morning, sir...die."

"It's refreshing to see you in a video with your clothes on, sir...now die."

That's how I hear it.

I wish they had done that when we still had the classics for Tony to fight. It would have been awesome to see him go up against the (JARVIS-controlled) suits that we've become enamored with.

I guess I'm still mourning them.

I read on Official Ironman Conic Nods topic:

"Does anyone have pics of the S.H.E.I.L.D. agents when they showed up at the Fireman's ball/event? My friend was convinced he saw a leggy woman with dark hair in the group, leaning towards believing it was Jessica Drew, the first Spiderwoman and a memeber of S.H.E.I.L.D. but I only remember seeing men. Maybe he's a liar, but if not, it would be an awesome easter egg!"

What is "the Fireman's ball/event?"
