Yeah, it does look like a UN helmet. He also has a collection of dog tags. Probably more trophies of the same people.
That's not Cap's helmet. Looks like a UN helmet to me.

Whatever it is, I think even more dog-tags are hanging from itStill trying to figure out what the dark blue thing that's been shot up on the wall behind him is supposed to be, though....looks too big to be another UN helmet. .
Any IM armor experts able to identify which Mark that faceplate belongs to? I'm wondering if it references a defeat of Tony in this movie, or if it's a leftover from an IM1 or IM2 battle that Mandy snatched up...
It's his new helmet.
So, the same cracked faceplate that Pepper is holding. Trying to figure out the sequence here --- Malibu mansion attack; Iron Man suit gets broken, but it's still unclear if Tony was in it; Pepper is shown holding the broken mask; then it gets from her hands to Mandarin's boot.

boom.

it could just be for the poster.
if only he was holding a badly damaged iron man helmet with his right hand. that would make this poster even more badass.
Not buying that it's a UN helmet. The lettering is on the front not the side. Thers's a paint smudge where two bullet holes are so that's what throws off the "A".
Makes sense that it would be Cap's helmet. Cap is an icon and with the events of Avengers his popularity is renewed. Mandarin's motto is "heroes....there is no such thing."

As I said on the other thread, the Stark legacy is tied to the super soldier program. Erskine created the formula, and Stark created the vita ray machine. The Extremis program in the comics was a way to "outdo" the super soldier program since no one could recreate it (Ross, Banner, etc.).
Also nothing is every coincidental in these movies. Going back to the first Iron Man film, Caps shield is shown as an easter egg, and Favreau acknowledged it was there on purpose. In Iron Man 2, there's a page in Howard Starks notes showing the Teserract. Cap's shield is shown again. Thor and Captain America both have opening scenes in the town of Tonsberg Norway, showing that Odin left the Tesseract on earth, leading to Avengers.
