Btdubs Jude Law would still make a killer Joker.

I guess he kinda looks like Joker. But just kinda to me. If he was officially cast I'd probably be saying he looked exactly like him.

If everyone's gonna be all "CLJ is too obvious because he looks cray cray" then I'll just go with Bettany for now (at least for you guys). CLJ is still my first choice but Paul Bettany seems like a partially unlikely choice

Brody's another interesting choice, if we want to dust off some old popular choices. Oscar winner that's been under the radar in recent years. Could make for a creepy Joker.

I remember when everyone thought Lachy Hulme was Joker and was looking up clips from obscure Australian movies to try to size him up

How did that rumour even get started? As I recall Jett propagated it a lot but it must've originally been either been some rando who saw Four Jacks (the main aforementioned obscure Australian movie) and decided to start a rumour or... I don't know, Lachy Hulme's agent/brother/cousin/nephew/general associate.

I only recently heard about all this stuff (a couple years ago). I was too young at the time to really be aware of the whole Nolanverse thing; the whole idea of Paul Bettany as Joker became favorable to me once I saw a few manips from 2007.

Aside from the tired old favourites like Dafoe and Cage, none of the 'names' being floated around are inspiring much enthusiasm on my part.

Don’t understand the “it has to be a movie star A lister!” crowd. They are in the same position they were in after Nicholson before they went with Ledger. They’ll be casting an up and coming respected actor who the vast majority don’t know by name. And if some do, it’s not everyone and their grandma.

Look at who they've cast in the past... Nicholson - Oscar Winner, Ledger - Oscar nominated, Leto - Oscar Winner, Phoenix - Nominated, guessing they will find an actor who has some awards pedigree/artistic credibility but isn't already a superstar, seems to be the pattern except for Nicholson who was a huge name upon being cast.

If Joker is going to show up in The Batman sequel, I would pay attention to the supporting actor/lead actor nominations over the next few years as they may pop up there beforehand!
