I’m alright with jeans but the style of jeans and blazer, tie etc is too hipster for me. He looks like he’s on his way to his college class where he’s taking...journalism while listening to Tame Impala. And there’s a ton of folks in every city who look like that. So hopefully Joker is more of an outcast.

Not all of his outfits have to be super bright, but I wouldn't mind colorful patterns on his shirts or jackets so that he doesn't blend in TOO much with the general aesthetic.

I've said I'm beyond cool with him changing outfits to go with whatever scheme he's putting on.

If he's robbing the local zoo of a tiger, give him a safari hat and vest. If he's stealing a plane, give him an aviator's accessories. If he's killing a bunch of people, give him a tommy gun with a tooth pick and suspenders or a flame thrower and a fireman's hat.

Just put it over the suit, or not. We'll know who he is. Lol

Exactly. Joker doesn’t need one suit. And it’s a bit of a waste of time trying to nail down his “main suit” when we’re several years away from even seeing his wardrobe changes.

My logic: The "main suit" is probably the one that shows up on all the promotional material and action figures.

There is probably a cool way to do a permagrin but I find that inherently less interesting than an actor contorting their face.

What if it's just the corners of his mouth that have been affected? That way it's not completely frozen like Nicholson's. Like this but without the scars, instead making it the corners of his mouth:

. . . would you be horrified if I said that I just imagined the Joker in a purple version of the purple version of the Steve Jobs techno cult leader look, giving some kind of evil comedic TED talk to a captured audience, and the image totally works?

I just saw a more detail description of the new Joker look in that other movie. If its true, I don't like the sound of it. Long brown hair with little bit of green on it with guns and police badges.

Sounds better than the previous version. And Joker thinking he’s some kind of police officer in a Mad Max future timeline is funny.

At least it all but guarantees a slightly cleaner, short-haired Joker for Battinson.

I don't think he'll be THAT clean anymore, very likely a bit grotesque, but he probably won't have dingy outfits or be all sweaty.

Honestly, nothing is salvageable when it comes to that Joker after seeing SS, it's all anybody will be able to think of when they see him. I do have to agree with shauner though, the police idea is vaguely funny, although the execution probably won't be as good as the idea is on paper.

If the long hair thing does happen I do agree that it almost *definitely* ensures non-grimy Reeves Joker, no doubt

For a post-apocalyptic Joker design I think it's actually quite cool. Not a fan of the super long hair very much at all, but the rest of it sounds pretty sweet IMHO

I keep picturing something like ASHOSE or maybe Arkham City for the face. Grotesque but not dingy or grungy. Hair is slightly similar to Bermejo, and wardrobe is similar to ASHOSE and maaaybe Bermejo.

Leto’s Joker just needs to be stripped of those tattoos and taken away from David Ayer and it will be a vast improvement. He’s probably going to remain my least favourite, but I’ll put it this way...

The 2016 version we saw was embarrassing to the point where i don’t want to include him with the rest. ZS at least has a cool idea on how to make an actor look rad on screen, even if he lacks the other ingredients we crave for (especially once the hero or villain is finally developed into their final designs). So if 2021 Joker, with his limited screen time, can put Leto a few steps higher so he can at least be mentioned with the other big boys...and we can show a ****ing decent pic of him for once...then to me that’s a success.

The more radical he looks, the easier it is for Reeves to design his Joker in the opposite direction.
