The Joker Thread - Part 1

I also think Dan Stevens would be a great Joker, but after Nicholson, Ledger and Phoenix the only way I can see WB considering him is if he gets an Oscar nomination in the next 5 or so years. Which, granted, is not impossible.

Nope. I don't belive at all that he needs an oscar nom to be considered. It will come down to talent and what Matt Reeves prefers.

I don't think it matters what Reeves prefers, it matters what the studio prefers. After Phoenix, I think there's no way the Joker isn't played by an A lister, so your Dan Stevens and Caleb Landry Jones need not apply.

Going by who’s nominated this year, Joker should be played by either Al Pacino or Joe Pesci.

Nah, Two-Face is too boring, too straight edge. Let Dan have some fun.

Whoever plays the Joker is, I hope they are permawhite too this time. Red Hood and ACE chemicals and everything.

Just curious what they would do with his hair if they did cast a black Joker.

Evan Peters would be a Great Joker if Reeves goes for a Full Noir and/or atemporal approach. The Guy has the charisma and talent to fully embrace it, and do his own stuff with him.

Just imagine a Joker with this Style:

I have zero interest in Lakeith Stanfield as The Joker, and I don't think making The Joker black would be a great look, socially/politically speaking.

I mean, The Joker is this dude that fell into a Chemical vat that turned his skin into permanent snow-white. Him being White, black, Chinese or whatever doesn't really care as far as they remember that tho.
