Nah bro, it's gotta be Lachy Hulme.
Absolutely down .
Bettany in particular deserves more than to just be stuck playing Vision
Has anyone suggested Bill Hader yet?

That really just sounds like an edgier version of Jack Napier from Batman 1989 lolDeveloping on from what I was saying yesterday and thinking about it all day today - I think it's best to leave Phoenix joker as a one shot. It made money, it got an Oscar or two, leave it alone.
Then, with this new Batman, let's have a Joker totally different from what we have had before, in the sense that I do not want anyone rooting for him, liking him, merchandise from hot topic can do one... I want him to be genuinely disturbing.
He's the top of the criminal food chain, he's eccentric - think Gary Oldman in Leon. He has his finger in a lot of illegal pies - he is creepy, he abuses women, children that he has trafficked - he has no morals.
He has protection too, because he deals/provides sordid favours to the elite. He asks no questions - he gets **** done.
This is why Bruce is after him.
One night, an altercation occurs with Batman and he falls into chemicals.
He gets well and truly messed up. His insides were burnt, he has trouble breathing, constant pain now - he got terrible burns to his skin - almost 90% of his body was badly burned - but not in a Freddy Krueger, two face way - but almost like a melted candle in areas. Chemical burns are the worse. His lips are gone, his teeth are worn away - his eyes are constantly open with no lids.
He is messed up and on pain killers, meds. He hallucinates, seems delusional - he has this laugh that echoes out - he's unstable, the criminal world are unsure of this guy now.
Mason Verger almost - but he isn't confined to a chair.
I was also thinking, what if he wore a mask, to hide his face - a SAW type mask.
I saw a dc direct Arkham figure of joker and it looked like he was wearing a mask, had this long pointy shoes... I just liked that idea.
Not really. An edgier version of Jack Napier would be Leto Joker. That really just sounds like an edgier version of Jack Napier from Batman 1989 lol

What is so unrealistic about a perma white Joker? There are chemicals in real life that can alter the appearance of a person's skin to horffying results. Is it really that crazy to say that in-universe, there's a chemical that can bleach a person's skin?
And wouldn't Reeves go the bleached route to differentiate from Phoenix? Two makeup Jokers in a row is a bit much and there's just something wayyy more terrifying about the idea that Joker's look is permanent.
They could've done so much with him. I'm not completely ruling him out of the role entirely until he says something, even though multiple signs point to him exiting the DCEU. I would've loved to see a suave gangster Joker without the jewelry, forehead tattoos, open shirts, "human" feelings, and occasional Jim Carrey/Nixon impressions.I thought the skin tone for Leto's Joker was great (minus the obvious reshoots). It was unnaturally pallid, while not being too over-the-top white. Something like that, combined with darker hair, is the way to go in my book.
But yes, I like how it still looked permawhite without being completely white and looking cheap.I thought the skin tone for Leto's Joker was great (minus the obvious reshoots). It would never happen, but it could be cool if Doug Jones played him with some prosthetics. He has such a slender, wiry figure, you could really make the Joker look outrageous.
