I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m leaning toward Zac Efron.
My first instinct is that Efron wouldn't be a good choice but I don't know maybe he'd work.I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m leaning toward Zac Efron.
Isn't that sort of intrinsic to the character at this point? I think even a grotesque monstrosity ala Serious House on Serious Earth would win over the hot topic crowd.not a pin up in that sense, but someone that kids like and think is cool... the goth kid thinking he is the first to die his hair green... he's huge in pop culture... I don't want that, I want a disturbing, frightening unreliable character now.
I think he's the type of "pin up" actor I'd rather not see as the Joker.
What happened to all the ugly, character actors?
Ugliness doesn’t always translate well through clown makeup from what I’ve been seeing. It seems to hide it. Yet, it has a reverse effect on those that would be considered attractive. It’s really weird. Unless you go for someone old.
Yup. I mean, Heath Ledger was considered a heartthrob but did anyone think he was a “pin up” in The Dark Knight?
This is where Jared was going if you ask me. His Joker was clearly inspired by, among others, Endgame Joker, who, the story implies, has existed as a figure in Gotham all throughout history as the Pale Man.I'm down for a Michael Myers-esque take on the Joker that really pushes the boundaries of his humanity. Someone so evil and insane that Batman and Gordon even for the briefest of moments question the man's mortality -- "He's just a man... Right?".
It would definitely be a fresh take. If they do the Joker, he should be saved for the final film in the trilogy (Killing Joke adaptation perhaps?)
Then why did it seem like he was some Night at The Roxbury ****boi villain who’s been winning dance offs for the last ten years? This is where Jared was going if you ask me. Because we didn't get to see it for more than 10 seconds at a time. Then why did it seem like he was some Night at The Roxbury ****boi villain who’s been winning dance offs for the last ten years?
You could have given him his own movie and he still would have came off like a Roxbury villain.Because we didn't get to see it for more than 10 seconds at a time.

Leto didn't know what he was doing either.
