Yeah, Melling can do an American accent. Or at least, he does a Southern accent in The Devil All The Time.



Interestingly enough, the more I look at Melling's face, the more I see a bit of a resemblance to Brian Bolland's Joker in there.

Kinda looks more like Sharlto Copley to me.

Interesting take. I know it largely depends on how skinny/buff Copley is atm, but he always strikes me as a blend between Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper.

Harry Melling's facial shape/structure just reminds me more of the Joker I posted. Big cheeks, small chin, pointy nose, close eyes. Not calling the dude ugly by any means by the way.

This guy definitely has a look that would be easy to transform into a Killing Joke style Joker but I'd have to see his acting chops in something other than Xmen, which wasn't great.

I don't want to think about John Waters being dead.

Still think Divine gave some of the greatest non Joker Joker performances.

lol I didn't think I'd get a positive response to the suggestion; but I could see his name being put in front of some execs.

I think he'd be better suited as a Superman villain/slugger (Metallo or Manchester Black), but just brainstorming and thought he might actually be able to turn out a surprise decent Joker performance.
