The Joker Thread - Part 1

The guy who posted that there was a "mic drop" at the end went out of his way to say that he didn't even care about Batman and even whatever was shown was enough to get him hyped up.

The knee grip was about the final scene. And then BluRayAngel asked his source/friend and the response they gave him was that the final scene had to do with setting up a sequel and that he's pretty sure Battinson will be cycling through a set of villains.

To that point, why would anything about the Waynes, or Alfred meeting Jebus in the clouds?

He says it's something setting up a sequel. That's pretty likely something to do with Riddler's knowledge, Court Of Owls or something, or alternatively getting a first look at Arkham and it's got someone familiar inside who'll factor into things going forward.

Not exactly an out-there proposition.

Fan or not, everybody knows Batman has his trusty butler. To kill off said butler in the first movie, I suspect, would shock fans and casuals alike. Likewise, everybody knows that Bruce Wayne becomes Batman because his decent, upstanding parents were murdered. Again, I suspect it'd shock people to learn that they weren't so decent and upstanding after all and Batman's very foundation was built upon a façade.

When I hear casuals talking about how something shocked them, and they make a point to say they're not even fans of the character, that to me sounds like "subverted expectations" more than anything. Or like emielaen said, the shock could very well come from within the narrative itself and not have anything to do specifically with Batman lore at all.

Of course it could. Don't think anyone's said differently, Shauner aside.

For what it's worth, a rogue's gallery ending would be baller. Not disputing that at all.

Everybody knows the Joker. Even Two-Face is getting up there in popularity. It’s not the Court of Owls and stop with this dumb “they’re gonna kill Alfred!”. So ridiculous. Batman’s a rookie. Even Snyder wouldn’t be that stupid to resort to such extreme shock “methods”. The movie could be a masterpiece and if that happened at the end I’d give the entire movie 0 out of 5 stars.

Evidence The Joker is in this:

-Reeves posted a picture of three villains that didn't include The Joker
-In some set pictures there is a green dot with a smiley face behind a purple background
-Some people think Barry Keoghan would be a good Joker
-A guy on twitter was told by someone that people gasped at the ending of the movie

I do not believe The Joker is in this at all, beyond a passing hint or tease maybe. In fact, it would be a bad idea to include him here.

That doesn’t sound like Mister Freeze to me. I really think it’s Joaquin Joker. Look at the Hardy Venom/Holland Spidey situation. It’s pretty similar

Says the guy who lost his cool in the Halloween thread over some of us liking a dude’s post. And then you proceeded to tell us to go **** ourselves, without a slap on the wrist by the mods. Yeah @Gothamsknight knows what I’m talkin about. But sure, Alfred getting killed off in the first movie is making Shauner a hothead. Nah, it’s just a dumb idea.
Are you ok dude?

i would lose my sh** and hates reeves too if he killed off alfred.

like all the jimmy olsen fans out there who hate snyder.
