I didn't have account yet but I was browsing at the time and remembered thinking that big bat theory was crazy if they thought an already established Joker in Arhkam would appear.

At the time I wasn't really sure how much Matt Reeves was willing to take from the comic's and I assumed hed be focusing on Riddler and leaving Joker out of it until the third.

It'd funny that despite the plot points not turning out to be true (Riddler wanting Batman to kill Joker in Arkham) he was right.

Take a look at a real life gang, the organized crime, the levels you need to achieve, the network, the actual brains behind it all, the initiation to get into a gang... the power hungry members waiting to get to the top....

Only to let someone from Arkham control it?

Now, if we are talking about the Joker influencing people, riddler and his anons, having a freak army of sorts - to cause mayhem, to get that up and running... ok, but it's still huge ask - riddler is locked up - even for that... I assumed that's where Pheonix's joker was headed, copycat killers etc

I can see Joker like Hannibal Lecter - taunting him from behind the glass and I would assume that's what Reeves had in mind as that scene was very, very similar.

I guess we just have to wait and see.

Any universe that is tOo rEalIsTic to have Joker control a gang isn't a Batman universe. We literally just saw The Riddler inspire a bunch of internet trolls to dress up in matching outfits and attempt to commit mass murder after flooding the city. And, of course, a reclusive billionaire dresses up like a bat to fight crime and most everybody is chill with it.

ok, this is good... very good... imagine the final battison movie is set over fall/halloween again, with Joker breaking out of Arkham in the build up and murdering people linked to bruce, loved ones, friends etc... a torture scene.... could be a full circle epicness.

Yup, which is why I feel this would be different - he also doesn't look the type. Most from what we have seen - Nicholson, pre joker was a high figure in a cartel; Ledger, we don't know much but there were hints of military - plus his make up was theatrics and he just wanted carnage - he had goons more than anything. Leto - god knows what that was. If you count it, Pheonix was a loner, so I can see this interpretation being a loner, murderer and moving forward I can see him inspiring other inmates etc but organized crime, gangs etc I can't see, but it'll be exciting to see.

In a way, it feels weird not seeing a decent toy line for The Batman besides the adult collectors but I can see why - this joker would not be a very child friendly toy haha - the BO will make 800 mil, not a bad feat considering it didn't show in Russia and was 3 hours long!!

Strong foundations.... unlike Gotham's sea wall...

I'm trying not to be too biased but....I think his might be one of the better ones

I'd go as far in saying Barry has Jokers laugh in live action.

Or at least it's my personal favorite.

My favourite laughs have to be Nicholson’s cackle, Ledger’s final laugh in TDK (probably my all time fav because it’s so demonic) and some of his little moments during the tumbler chase and Joaquin’s big extended laugh he does on the late show. But Barry doesn’t have one laugh. He did 3 different ones I remember correctly. I’m sure he has more in his pocket, like Heath.

The first one after Batman takes back the files, and the second one right after the creepy mouth reveal

Maybe down the road the makeup artist will post some BTS stuff on Instagram. But if nothing was in the art book then we're probably not getting anything else for a while.

They may want to hold back on releasing BTS Joker material in case they decide to make some minor changes to his look in the future.
