* My brother is writing a script for me and well wait to see how it turns out...hes struggling to put it together into the epic story that you want it to be.
* Without getting into specifics [on the story], the key thing that makes the third an great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story. And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.
* We have a great ensemble [cast], thats one of the attractions of doing another film, since weve been having a great time for years. * Im very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what weve done with the characters. My brother has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these thing dont go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale were telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic . Thats what we do.
After reading Nolans February interview I firmly believe the Joker will be back. (I believe we'll see many classic villans in some form or other, going from a theme of escalation to "explosion"). Nolan's talking about ending the story, he's talking about the story being epic. As far as I'm concerned no Batman trilogy can end without the inclusion of the Joker. How will he do it? Maybe he'll do a Dr. Parnassus and have a few actors in the role. or maybe he's found someone that can bring their own compeling interpretation (maybe from the Inception cast?). I think Nolan will bring the Joker back pull it off brilliantly......
