Actually, I take that back lol. I think Serinda Swan might be my new favorite choice for Wonder Woman.

I didn't even realize that she was in Tron as on of the girls that put Flynn's clothes on lol.

edit: Bridget Regan ain't too bad either.

I do understand the theory that just because an actor hasn't pulled something off you can't write them off. However that would debunk 89% of the function of fan threads like this...

As for Bale, I actually said(or meant anyways) that I saw great batman work in those two other films. It's almost like fans ignore how middle of the road Nolame's characterization was and they actually just see that other stuff. Take out the humor and actual killing in American Psycho and mix in the turmoil and fearsome prowess from Equillbrium and you'd have yourself quite the take on Bruce Wayne. One that would finally eliminate the ever present critique that batman isn't at all the most interesting character in his own films. Iron man needs help sometimes too, but even he would be shocked at how reliant Wayne is in these films(they did a great job with stark btw). Bruce freaking Wayne...his insane self reliance is almost the point.
note, it wasn't till he climbed out of the hole(again not by himself) that finally started to see my favorite comic book character start to emerge. Then what does he do but go running to freaking morgan freeman. Nolan and his obsession with the Bond/Q paradigm.

Anyways, I like your idea of Barry getting a heroic death in the first film. Almost like the crisis mythos. That would be a great set up for Wally and pretty much my introduction to the stories anyways.(I'm not that old after all). Still think Damian would be a good Barry. He does great work in homeland and he's got an awesome wit in real life. Plus he looks like a man and not a CW star.

We'll have to disagree on Evans, I see your personal problems with him. At the very least I could see him pulling off Nolame's Wayne in these 3 bat films. Try this, look at the photo I posted, but cover his stupid stache with your finger. He looks like a weary yet sharp play boy.

I'm convinced you're casting wonder woman for looks. Moreana is the closet to regal mediterranean fierce beauty I've seen posted so far.
I saw Sawn on smallville. The presence isn't right for me.

but that's me.

I'd actually like to see Megan Fox as Wonder Woman. For a while the idea hadn't even crossed my mind because it was dismissed so early on by myself and a lot of other people, but she's absolutely perfect for the role in the looks department. She doesn't have a lot of range as an actress I don't think, but that might be because she's only been in crappy films with crappy directors and crappy scripts. I want to she what she'd be able to do with a good director and a role she could actually put effort into. I don't really care how much you guys flame me for this post, it's just an interesting thought.

Probably been said before, but I like Marion Cotillard for WW.

^she is right up their with angelina jolie and monica bellushi

time passed them all by due to how long it has taken for this film to get made

but that's me.

Moreana is too bubbly, and soft to play WW. She just doesn't fit the bill for me. I understand your qualms about TDKR, but you have to understand the type of Batman/Bruce that Nolan was trying to create in that Batman is a self reliant person, but the citizens must also take action and step in. I've always saw Lucious as Batman's brain, Alfred as his heart, and Gordon as his spirit or strength.

Damian who? Not sure whom you mean?

I am casting Wonder Woman for looks. Acting ability will be there and doesn't have to be the best honestly. As long as she looks the part, can hold her own, and pull off the action I'm good. WW is not going to be a film that garners many Oscars and I'm fine with that. Don't get me wrong I don't want just a pretty face and no acting ability, but of all the actresses I mentioned they can at least act and be convincing in their roles. Moreana looks nothing like WW, even if she has blue contacts. I think you are just infatuated with her from firefly and serenity lol. I think she is attractive too, but wrong for WW.

As far as Megan Fox. I think she has grown since we last saw her. She is a good actresses and would make a good WW. However, she has said that she wouldn't want the role, plus I think they would want to go with someone that can pull off less contemporary more older style role for WW. That's why I think my choices would fit more. For example I can't see Megan Fox in the Hobbit, but I could see many of these other actresses in that type of film. I think the woman they cast will be the type of actress that you can see in a period piece type of film.

Monica Bellucci would have been great as WW 10 or so years ago. I wouldn't mind seeing her in a Kingdom Come film or if they take JL into the future. Actually she isn't bad looking and is still gorgeous, but I'm sure the actress they get will be 24-35 just because they will want a 3-4 picture deal.

Oh, I didn't know you were casting purely on looks, Midnight_Black, I do feel a bit silly now :p. Though I still think the look of an actor when they aren't trying to look like characters is silly, for example, I can't see these two guys (taken in Aug 2012) being the World's Finest:

henry-cavill-luke-evans-jessie-j-vip-reception-03.jpg

But these two I can:

immortals-2011-la-premiere-luke-evans-henry-cavill-64968.jpg

I'm not casting strictly on looks for all the characters, but it is one of the main things for me.

I do like that pic there, but I still don't see Luke as Batman, but who knows. Maybe in the cowl he would be good.

Moreana was "bubbly" on those whedon projects. Since then she's played the evil queen alien on V and now plays the cheating yet vulnerable housewife to returned tortured solider/terrorist on Homeland(with Damien Lewis). And when her hair is relaxed and straight, she very much fits the look(and height) requirements.

Blue eye'd wonder woman? I figured that was just a by product of the Lynda Carter white washed crap. Either way, contacts can go along way. I honestly decided on Moreana after I read issue 190, and wonder woman had a pixie hair cut.
I do see how you are casting by looks though. Even that fox suggestion(5'4) seems like a dark hair slim body type of deal. I personally can't do that. Like I said, I'm in a way casting for Xena. That presence but with a mediterranean twist. Some culture diversity would shine here in a way Avengers simply didn't(not even by simply changing Fury's race to add color). A Bellucci type would be ideal, But that's wishful thinking, I suppose I could change my line of thinking here.

Basically this is just a Lynda carter update. Actor et all.

If I must, I'd prefer a Tsianina Joelson(of Xena fame) who played an amazon no less.

and the armor would def need an update, something of this sort with a color change and a bustier
Lucy%20Lawless%20Xena%20samurai.jpg

Lawless could do this role in her sleep.

Again, it's that Amazonian quality that seems to always get lost in the Americana iconography.

Megan Fox? Seriously this isn't a woman to sit at the table with the other strong minded men and put them in their place. I honestly can't get around this CW approach to WW.
Then again Captain America worked out, so what do I know.

I agree with your choice of Tsianina Joelson. I'm all for a more culturally exotic looking Wonder Woman or someone with some strong ethnic look and that can even be European.

I'm not saying I would want Megan, just that she does fit the bill. I didn't like Adrienne P. Although she is very attractive I thought she was all wrong from the pics online, especially in that WW suit.

I get that you don't necessarily care for the blue eyed look and I'm fine if they go with an actress that has brown or green eyes, but I do want the actress to at least on some part look like WW.

As for Lynda Carter. She was hot and still is for a woman her age lol. Honestly seeing her in the WW outfit just looks perfect and she filled it out so well:wow:

Out of all of your suggestions I think Tsianina Joelson has been the best. What do you think of my last two suggestions: Serinda Swan and Bridget Regan? Do you think Gemma Atterton has a chance?

Oh how I do wish they just made a WW movie with Lucy Lawless. That pic right there is the epitome of WW to me and the modern Lynda Carter lol.

I like Cotillard... she's a beautiful and talented actress, but for the life of me, I can't imagine her as Wonder Woman.

Not a fan of Swan. Gemma had a very bold look Prince of Persia. I suppose if the studio were to be satisfied, she'd be the most logical choice at this point. She needs to work on the pitch of her voice though. I do this she can play one hell of an idealist.

Funny enough, I saw more Batman in Xena/Lawless than I have in recent times. Every now and then she'd do something inhumanly amazing or out witt someone completely and she'd do so with an anger in her...oh nolan.

Tsianina does have a great look and build, but she's definitely not studio material.

The new WW has got to be more tough, physically. Lynda Carter was great but nowadays WW has to be more action-oriented, so it will be a lot to live up to- to live up to the standard of Carter in terms of looks, but also to be an action star.

I'm all for Luke Evans as Bruce Wayne. Those pictures of him with Cavill really does it for me! Really helps how Cavill has that happy look, with Evans looking a little more thoughtful and reserved. :)

Personally, I can't see Evans in the cowl. Can't say exactly why, but he doesn't look quite the part, in my view.

^I can definitely see Evans in the cowl. He's handsome in a dark, mysterious way that suits Bruce perfectly. Physically, he would at least be a better candidate than Karl Urban and Wes Bentley.

Probably been said before, but I like Marion Cotillard for WW.

I doubt she can shake the French accent, and there were times I found her damn near incomprehensible in TDKR.

How is Evans a better fit physically than Urban? Urban can slim down and tone up. Just see Bourne and Riddick. Evans on the other hand has a small frame and would have a harder time putting on the weight needed for Batman IMO.

The perfect physique for Batman out of the choices I mentioned is Anson Mount, Collin Egglesfiled, or even Justin Bruenig in that order.

Considering Batman will most likely be in the suit the majority of the movie, putting on the "right weight or physique" for the role is just a bad reasoning that fanboys use on actors they don't want in the role because they have nothing better to go on.

It's just as bad as the height ridiculousness.

Actually it isn't given the fact that because the suit will add an extra 30-50 lbs the actor needs to be fit and at the same time muscularly toned so that the suit looks right.

As far as height, I agree that it is negotiable; however, if all the other actors are 5'10 and above or 6'1 and above having someone play Batman that is 5'7 and has to where 5 inch lifts is a bit silly and noticeable.

I'm sure there will be scenes with the characters in plain clothes and in that case I would still like a physically imposing Batman/Bruce. I'm not a fanboy though so what do I know.

And your suggestions for Batman are?

By "physically" I meant "facially". I really don't care about an actor's physique. To me, muscles are muscles.

How is Evans facially wise better for the role of Bruce/Batman than Urban? All I think of when I see Evans is Orlando Bloom lol. I'm sure I can get past that, but he still has a sort of smaller look to him that I can't get over.

I'll admit Urban can look heavier at times especially with his square head, but when he slims down so does his face and plus he already has the voice.

Either way I'm still routing for Anson Mount, Collin and Urban as my front runners lol. Evans may grow on me though, but not over Anson & Urban, until I see otherwise.
