Does anyone have any idea what he is talking about??? Cause I don't. Maybe I missed an entire actor in Avengers!

This is in reply to another poster that said that actors can't be in a DC or Marvel property.

Oops! Happy now?

Also, with your examples, most are within the studio itself and are essentially from dead projects, which I'll clarify is no problem!

Hannibal King (Marvel)- Blade- Dead Project
Wade Wilson (Marvel), and Hal Jordan (DC)- This is probably the only valid comparison. Though both are in doldrums at the moment.

Evans: Johnny Storm- Dead project. and Steve Rogers (Marvel); Also same studio.

Ray Stevenson: Punisher(Marvel)- dead project, Volstagg (Marvel); Same studio.

Idris Elba: Ghost Rider 2 (Marvel)- Gotta tell you- if its still not a dead project they sure are deluded; Heimdall (Marvel)... Same studio.

Halle Berry: Storm (Marvel), CatWoman (DC)- Dead project. Why would anyone wanna remember that? I'm pretty sure they conveniently forgot!

Well it is possible that WW would start after Thor's franchise has ended or the character of Sif is possibly killed off now isn't it:oldrazz: We don't know when WW movie will get the green-light so by the time they do start casting they could come back around to Jaimie.

All I'm saying is that if it isn't in their contract then it's fair game. If the studios want you then they will get you bottom line.....and that just leaves more room for any of the other actresses including Hayley Atwell.

Did you even read the quote by Jaimie Alexander on the previous post?

And Reynolds was never in Avengers!

Yes. geez Was saying that Ryan Reynolds played multiple Marvel characters and a DC character so unless DC doesn't own GL, Gl must have joined the Avengers and I wasn't aware:doh:

Nevermind.:whatever:

So Barry Allen or Wally West in JL movie? If it comes up would you rather the JSA and JLA be in the same universe, but that the JSA was a superhero group in the 1950s or would you rather they keep it a multiverse?

I prefer Barry to Wally. But I love Wally too, so I'd be cool with either. As long as Barry doesn't have to die.

i don't think anyone is saying she is. but the pickings are slim. their really is no ideal candidate because they're really isn't anyone who matches almost every criteria. you'd need a damn supermodel/julliard grad to find the ideal one.
:cmad:too bad lynn collins is aged out now since imo she has a great look for ww in jc and her physique was ideal for ww muscular yet also very toned and a very solid actor and was great as dejah thoris and actually is a julliard graduate but at 35 she may be too old

The JSA may be a little overkill. If we really want the JL to be seen as the super cool superhero team of DC and in the DC shared movie universe, it's not best to have sibling competition for them. Making them an old time team may no be possible in the world that is being created for this shared universe so that idea is out as well. Maybe the individual members such as Hawkman, Black Canary, Wildcat, and Dr. Fate should be included in solo adventures or future JL movies as standalones or JL inductees.

To the notion of an older actress playing Wonder Woman, that may not be all the bad of an idea. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing an older JL all around. Maybe not quite middle aged, but mid to late 30's for the big three would not be unreasonable. This is, of course, assuming that the team has existed for a time or at least the heroes themselves have been active beforehand. An experienced and already efficient group of heroes could do some good in setting JL apart from Avengers where each hero wasn't used to saving the world on a massive scale (with the exception of maybe Thor in a way).

Wonder Woman specifically can be portrayed as a wiser version of herself from the New 52 portrayal. More conservative in battle and decisions. Maybe less of a hot head (not that she had a super short fuse to begin with). For me the most important thing for casting Wonder Woman would be finding an actress that CAN ACT. If we want the character to be taken seriously by audiences rather than just eye candy or a being just a token female, we need the audience to respect her as a character the same way they'd respect Batman or Superman. And to do that, the actress has to be good.

That said, I absolutely cannot stand it when people clamor for Megan Fox to be cast as Wonder Woman. Granted, this is mainly among the GA with young boys or men who just see Woman Woman for her bust size. Megan Fox has not had a good performance yet from what I've seen from her. She's stuck up and not even the right build. Wonder Woman should be tall and somewhat muscular- at least toned. Megan is neither, she's short and skinny. Did I mention she can't act?

I can't really give any alternative suggestions due to not being a huge moviegoer. I probably go to the movies once a year if at all. This year was an exception with three big superhero movies that came out since I went to see all three. But I don't know actresses or actors as far as their acting abilities go. I could probably name a few that have the necessary look, but they are the ones who's names have circulated the forum many a time already.

There has been one user in here in the past month that has defended his choice for Megan Fox sadly.

Really my shortlist for each role... My first choices are of course in my signature.

Superman
Henry Cavill of course.
Armie Hammer-I think if he has to get a role in JLA, I mean IF he has to, it should be Superman! Definitely not Batman!

Batman
Karl Urban for a middle aged Batman.
Joel Edgarton is another guy who I can see in the role.
Josh Harnett too if you're going younger.

Wonder Woman
Lauren Cohan- She is very good in TWD and deserves a proper platform for a Hollywood shift.
Rachel Nichols- She has the height and the acting ability.
Emily Blunt- She is a very interesting pick. She is a very good actress and has a grasp of action from what I could see in Looper. She doesn't have the classic look though.
Gemma Artherton- Get a tan and we'll talk!
Gina Carano- I wanna see how she acts in her forthcoming projects before writing her off completely!

The Flash
Jake Gyllenhaal- He is a good actor who has that tendency to keep things light. Dunno how else to explain it!
Chris Pine- If he wasn't as busy, he'd have been ideal!
Ryan Gosling- I dunno if he'd consider Flash to be a second line hero, if he ever does a superhero in the first place!
Ryan Phillippe- He may be a bit on the shorter side but I liked him in whatever I have seen him in. He definitely can pull it off.

Green Lantern
Ryan Reynolds- As I said before, different strokes for different folks. Ryan as GL worked for me.
Logan Marshall Green- He is my top choice if they wanna replace Ryan.
Jensen Ackles- He's there too, I guess.

good list aNarchy.

as much as i would have liked hammer as supes, henry is my supes now. 2 supermen would be pretty annoying. i don't think he's all that ideal for bats either (because of his height) with cavill's supes.

i like the hartnett choice though.

still i want pine as gl and gosling as barry. i want a lot of not-yet-a-superstar power in this film.

You're going to have to have at least one big name or some people will skim over the movie when revealed. So Ryan Gosling as Flash or Ryan Reynolds as GL or both would be good ideas. There's good chance that Cavill will resume his Superman role and will have at least lick of starpower after MOS so that'll add to the fire as well. Then they'd have free reign for Batman and Wonder Woman choices.

Agreed. I like him as an actor, but he's made it pretty clear he has no interest in a superhero role.

“I mean, I’m not actively looking for [a franchise],” Gosling qualified, “It would be like, ‘Who’s directing it, what’s the story? ....He’s [Refn] talked to me about Wonder Woman. They should totally let him do it.”

“If Nicolas wanted to do ‘The Flash’....I don’t know. I’d probably have to think about it.”

If isn't as open and shut a case as you make of it!

But if they do a solo Flash film, it doesn't matter much... Flash being a second tier hero... I mean... Iron Man... Thor... not exactly high on importance as superheroes before their own movies!

Which is why IM was played by a washed-up ex-junkie and Thor by some nobody. Actors that are on the cusp of A-list like Gosling don't need to play second tier superheroes.
