How can one hate Gosling? *shakes head in disbelief*

I don't necessarily hate Gosling as an actor. I think he is a good actor. I would rather see Eric Banna as Bruce Wayne than Gosling as Bruce Wayne. Also, I would rather see a few other actors as Flash than to see Gosling as well, just because he is fancasted so much and the lot of you keep saying he is the best.

I just "hate" him for the role. Not as a person or actor. However, if he were cast I could live with it.....for Flash...not the Bats!

oh god blue valentine was a terrible movie. and im with midnight black; gosling sucks. i think the hatred stems from him being fan cast so often. i mean, hes literally just an ok actor, nothing more, but everyone here thinks he would make an amazing flash or batman. i whole heartedly disagree

Yes, to most of this. I haven't seen many Gosling movies, but I've heard good things though. But to reiterate the hatred spurs from him being mentioned for both Batman and Flash roles as if he is the second coming. He may do well as Flash, but not Bats.

Guys who don't like Ryan Gosling are just jealous.

Um...definitely not jealous of Gosling. I have no reason to be lol.

All right Batman is the oldest hero in the Justice League. I just hope in a few years time Christian Bale is not one of those actors signing headshots at conventions!

I don't see this ever happening. Bale was a fine actor before the series and will be a fine actor after the series.

If they did go with Bale I would like him to be the veteran on the team. However, I do not like the angle of him being the one with less powers that it would show more on his face and body. JL/JU somewhat introduced this idea in the DCAU and I always liked the fact that Batman seemed ageless and could keep up with the likes of Supes, MM and Flash; although, this idea is less realistic. But Batman should be more rugged than any other leaguer IMO, yet can turn into the playboy at the drop of a dime.

Those are good suggestions. My personal favorite for Savage is DiCaprio. Not only because he looks like he never ages but his look in Django was exactly how I picture Savage. And he can play a great psycho-tyrant type.

For Lord, I'd love it if they landed James Purefoy. He could be brilliant in that role.

I'll say I don't HATE Gosling, but he won't be in this movie. He's a good actor, but he's the kind of guy that sees comic book movies as below him. He'd be great for a lot of these roles, but I just don't see him "dropping down" to do one. Same reason we won't see Hugo Weaving as Red Skull again.

Ryan Gosling: Here’s the thing. Drive was my attempt at the superhero movie. I had a costume and everything. The scorpion jacket. It was like my cape. It was like the idea of a guy that had seen too many superhero movies and then decided that he was going to make himself one.

They might for The Avengers, but I didn’t think I’d be in Captain America 2 or 3. I don’t think Red Skull will be there. And it’s not something I would want to do again. I’m glad I did it. I did sign up for a number of pictures and I suppose, contractually, I would be obliged to, if they forced me to, but they wouldn’t want to force someone to do it, if they didn’t want to. I think I’ve done my dash with that sort of film. It was good to do it and try it out, but to be honest, it’s not the sort of film I seek out and really am excited by. As an actor, to do all sorts of different films is great. It stretches you in different ways. But, I increasingly like to go back to what I used to always do, which is to get involved with projects that I really have a personal affiliation with.

I like Gosling and Weaving, but I personally think we should all just let the Gosling idea go. Everyone seems to keep putting Gosling in their casting ideas after this quote, but it seems pointless.


That being said, on THIS casting you, shauner111 put together...

Cavill is obviously the perfect choice.
Bale is the best choice if they tie in Nolan's trilogy, which I'd be ok with.
Blunt... yes.
Gosling, you know my thoughts, but I don't really know who to put as Flash. Bradley Cooper is always a great choice, though I don't see it happening. Michael Rosenbaum is an off-the-radar choice.
Reynolds, big no. I didn't like him as Hal the first time, I'd rather see them go with John Stewart as Green Lantern. I'm thinking someone like Chiwetel Ejiofor.

most fans seem to want a batman that's built like a brick ****house and i think hardy is about as ideal as it can get had he'd not been bane. i don't think he'd do it, and i hink most people would be confused by that anyway. its kinda funny though how he and heath (who was apparently nolan's pick for bruce but heath wasn't a fan) would have made some really cool bruces i think.
