I want an actress who has already proven herself on film, not a television actress like Midnight Black always suggests. I respect your thinking outside of the box, but I dont have faith in many of your casting choices when you list them.

A proven actress like Blunt has my vote

I'd rather have a WW be 30-40 over the course of the films, than 20-30.

So I think they should be looking for a currently 25 year old to 29 year old actress.

How popular is Arrow? They could take another cue from Marvel and incorporate his show into the DCU....it's already non-canon with Smallville. Then again I've not seen the show yet...

Yeah Blunt has proven herself on film and will continue to do so. She's the right age if they do it soon, so she'll bring youth but experience for the character. So she doesn't seem too young or too old. It would be like when they cast Christian Bale for Begins or Henry Cavill for MOS.

As for Arrow I pray to god that doesn't happen. Very cheesy show IMO with not so great acting. You don't want to have a Hawkeye copy-cat or someone too close in name to Green Lantern. The show also reminds me of a bad rip-off of Nolans Batman.

If Blunt were cast it would be very comparable to the casting of Bale and Cavill, young rising respectable British actors.
Superman: Henry Cavill
Batman: Christian Bale
Wonder Woman: Emily Blunt
Green Lantern: Idris Elba
Flash: Ryan Gosling

right there. that's your Nolan produced cast. Nolan's name would attract actors like that, I'm convinced that if Nolan is involved, Gosling would be interested.

Green Lantern: Will Smith
Wonder Woman: Taylor Cole, Lauren Cohan or Gina Carano
Flash: Ryan Gosling or Neil Patrick Harris

Maggie Greene as Wonder Woman, I don't know...

I think its a good show and gets better with each episode. It's a ratings success for the CW, which isn't that big, but seems to be getting favourable reviews.

That said, the showrunners have stated they don't want to use super powers in the show and I don't blame them because on the budget there using they end up looking like garbage (kind of like smallville).

Arrow is not a success until we get a porn parody. :o

Having superpowers in the same universe doesn't mean that they have to start using them in the show though.(it would be awesome to have Oli watching the events of MoS on the news though)

I'm all for Arrow being a part of the universe, especially the nolanverse.

Despite the soundtrack and some b-actors, it doesn't feel underbudget compared to the movies because Green Arrow doesn't demand much budget. All effects are practical. This is why they chose Green Arrow. They can pull it off on TV. (which is why I'm wondering why they're attempting Wonder Woman...which demands a lot of CG to be done right)

It's for this same reason they're making a SHIELD tv show. SHIELD doesn't need cg to be pulled off well.

I agree, I also think using green arrow for a tv show was a great idea because the show does look really good for a tv show. I'm particularly impressed with the costumes.

If they were smart they would use that character to tie it in with the film universe. Green Arrow wouldnt be a big character in the film anyways so using Amell would benefit the show.

As for wonder woman, I still don't know how they are going to do that on tv. Unless they really do take the approach of some of the villains in the comics where makeup would be the only requirement and keep certain things very small scale.

Exactly! Man a cast like that (though highly unlikely)would tear everything to shreds.

Green Lantern: Will Smith
Wonder Woman: Taylor Cole, Lauren Cohan or Gina Carano
Flash: Ryan Gosling or Neil Patrick Harris
Gina Carano? People need to stop with her, she's simply not good. And Neil Patrick Harris would be fine if they were doing a spoofy take on Justice League. You can have Reynolds doing his schtick in continuity with that movie, NPH goofing it up, then take a bunch of guys like Paul Rudd lol and bingo. But in a serious JL movie?

Speaking of porn JGL is suppose to play a porn star in his next film. Great, could you hear the jokes if JGL get's the Batman nod.
Don Jon? He's not playing a pornstar just a *****er who is addicted to watching it. And he wrote and directed it hehe.

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I just recently joined although I have been a fan of the site for years.

Here would be my cast for the JL movie.

Superman - Henry Cavill
Batman -Christian Bale ( if he doesn't use the lame voice )
Wonder Woman - Gina Carano or Kate Beckinsale
Green Lantern - Joseph Gordon Lovett
Flash - Ryan Reynolds

I know RR has already played GL but I always saw him as Flash.

Gina Carano doesn't have a lot of acting experience, I know but from what I have seen of WW ( which is not much aside from Justice League animated series ) she doesn't seem like a deep character like the likes of Supes and Batman, so I wouldn't think GC would need to dig deep to make the character successful. Just kick ass and take names.

This keeps coming to mind what if Cavill and Carano did a screen test together and that's how they come to be together. Because, how would they meet Cavill doesn't seem the type to be into women's MMA.

the only reason people hate her is because they've got a ***** for these other actors. yeah she's a fighter, but the **** does that have to do with wondy? its not like she fights or anything. he says sarcastically.

blunt is talented and beautiful; a better actor then carano or alexander, but she does nothing for me in that role. she doesn't have that je ne sais quoi for the role. just my opinion.

Welcome to the board!

JGL won't play a different character from Nolans trilogy, especially if Bale is coming back. That doesn't make any sense.

I personally don't think Carano or Beckinsale are good choices for WW. I think they need an actress if u know what I mean. Carano is just a fighter who has the look of Diana in certain comics. Beckinsale is like 40. Way too old to commit to a franchise. Diana needs to look late 20s-30. And I don't think Kate is a good actress anyway.

Also fair enough about ur Flash pick. I see more Hal than Barry even if Reynolds didn't do the movie. But OK. It wont happen though.

Also btw, Wonder Woman can be a very deep character, there's a lot of potential. You don't want a C level actress standing next to Bale. But I do understand that Carano may be the choice because of her build and ties to Cavill. I can see WB going for her because she looks the warrior part.

Also, WB has to worry about the Insurance policy for one of these actresses let's Blunt, Wilde, Alexander, Cole? These chicks will have some bruises if they play WW.

Not really. That didn't stop studios from getting Scarlet or Hathaway. If the actress is up for it, they're up for it.

When the Gina Carano as WW rumors first surfaced, I did initially think it was actually possible given Cavill and Carano's hook-up at roughly the same time.

But then I thought- it's Nolan handpicking the director and probably even the actors given the kind of actors that have been cast in the different roles.

You see, I don't care what people think of Nolan's Batman- but one thing he did do was make sure each and every actor for each and every role was up to scratch. Even Police guy across bridge was freakin' Desmond Harrington!

And now Nolan's probably Godfathering JL. Now, I'm not as pessimistic about Carano's acting talent as some of the others and I'm really keeping an open mind here- but at any which rate I don't think she could have cleared a screen test overseen by Nolan! And if she did, it really must be us underrating her!

About Blunt, she doesn't look the part the way Michael Caine didn't look like Alfred, or Heath Ledger didn't look like Joker or Tom Hardy didn't look like Bane!

I think she has the most important character nuance down- she has that regal air that some choices like Carano, Daddario, Ory, McPhee or even my own first choice Cohan lack.
And I don't think we really have to worry about stunts and all- as far as I recall, she was very much the first choice for Black Widow!
And she is probably head and shoulders ahead of so many other choices anyway!

I dunno... I don't really see much wrong here!

well, he produced mos. if there's any truth to those machinations some of us seem to have regarding cavill and carano meeting and the supposed wondy cameo in mos, wouldn't he have had a say in that?
