Personally I don't think Lawrence can play someone as 'classy' as WW

She's very much an actress of her time/setting. Young American girl of the 2010's.

She even felt out of place in the sixties in First Class to me

I don't think she's the best fit for the role. Not even one of my top 10 personal choices.

But like I said, what other actress out there right now fits the part close enough, is in action movie shape, has solid chops and can guarantee a huge opening weekend? And is young enough to perpetuate the character for 10 years?

If we're going for a Nolan/Goyer/Snyder JLA

Superman: Henry Cavill
Batman : Christan Bale
Wonder Woman: Charlize Theroen
Green Lanturn: Ryan Reynolds
Flash : Ryan Gosling
Lois Lane : Amy Adams
Selina Kyle: Anne Hataway
Alfred Pennyworth : Michael Caine

Reynolds will never be Green Lantern in a sequel or team up movie. Not sure why people think he's still an option. Saying he has a chance of playing GL again is like saying Taylor Kitsch has a chance of playing John Carter again.

I know right.

Acting!

Whoa, who said a WW film would have to be $200 million?

That seems to be the going rate of blockbusters these days, and Warner Bros isn't exactly known for their conservative spending (Superman Returns, Green Lantern.)

I think it can be done on $150 M, I just don't know if they will in the current "Go big, or go home" climate.

There's no way Wb can get a JL movie made with all A-listers like people are suggesting plus the returning TDKT cast members and Nolan and Snyder for under $500 million (not including marketing and distribution). Nolan himself would cost over $100 million. I fail to see the benefit for WB to go this route.

See, it's this kind of budgeting that bugs the crap out of me, it wasn't long ago $150 million was considered a freakin' huge budget, now it's a lowball figure. Does no-one bother to try and do things cheaper? I mean Life of Pi's budget was less than that and the entire film has a bloody CGI tiger on a boat. How studios make any bloody coin these days is beyond me.

Funny you mention Life of Pi. I just met Ang Lee two days ago and he talked about how badly he had to fight for the small budget they had. If they hadn't filmed in Taiwan the movie wouldn't have gotten made.

Also, he's not against doing another superhero movie.

Green Lantern cost $300 mil to make. Everyone knew this before the movie came out. Then WB tried to make people believe it only cost $200. Bulls**t. Where that money went is beyond me, but they could have easily made three or four good comics films out of that budget.

Another thing, Nolan made $90 million up front on TDKR. Take that into consideration when thinking about him being involved with future DC films.

Well he managed to get every penny out of that $120 million, one day one of these $200 million films is going to send some big name company down the toilet.

^ Summit had better hope Ender's Game is up to snuff

I think if Ang Lee did another superhero movie then a more grounded character would be best. Perhaps The Punisher, Green Arrow, or Daredevil.

Two time Oscar winning director that everyone loves to work with? Give him Wonder Woman. Then Jennifer Lawrence might be interested :p

Hmmmm interesting idea.

Yes, I have no clue why they had to build their own trains for Lone Ranger, rather than just use pre-made ones.

I don't know why you think it's so outlandish, yes the movie was considered a bust financially and critically, but if they're trying to build on a shared universe and they want a familiar face it's not out of the question. Not saying I want it but it's not absurd.

You don't think it's absurd that a studio would want to distance themselves from their biggest financial and critical flop in over a decade?

The movie that has caused all these recent problems launching a shared universe?

The movie that is costing them tons of money because now they almost NEED Nolan's involvement to move forward on other superhero films?

Reynolds is done as GL unless WB really likes rolling the dice on their $300 million movies. Which, thanks to Nolan, they don't have to.

Reynolds is the 10s era Brandon routh. Van wilder we hardly knew ye.

Don't hate me, but I've been watching Supernatural lately and I think Jensen Ackles could make a much better Hal Jordan than RR did. Dude's got the smart-assery down pat, and I think he looks more like Hal than Reynolds did.

Just a thought.

I remember watching him on Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place. Who would've thought that he would go on to fail as Deadpool and Green Lantern?

CW actors are great. For CW shows. Where they should stay.

Still one of my favorite sitcoms! Christ how depressing

Remember when they took the "Pizza Place" off the title and Nathan Fillion became a regular cast member?

Maybe you missed this movie called X-Men Origins: Wolverine
