It would still be too early to celebrate like that.
With a March 2015 release date (and the presumption that Fox will lose the rights if they don't hit that date) and rumors about a July start of production in Vancouver shifting to a start of production in the fall and locations being scouted in Louisiana and rumors about problems with the script, I believe we have reached a point at which there are two possibilities.
1. Production will start in Fall and a cast and crew are in place but being kept secret so they can make a big splash at Comic-Con
or
2. The production is in danger of imploding and reverting to Marvel
Based on what we hear one week from tomorrow, I think we will have some real clarity on which of those two possibilities it is. If they can't announce major progress, I'm going to lift a glass.
With all due respect, but are you like privy to some information that the rest of us aren't? For someone who supposedly wants F4 pried out of Fox's hands, you seem unusually stubborn about this "F4 at Comic Con" theory. You would think this latest leaks about the X-Force plans would give you more optimism, since ideally that getting leaked should mean that not only a F4 presence at Comic Con would been revealed as well, but that X-Force and the X-Men shared universe is a greater priority than F4 as far as Fox's immediate superhero movie slate is concerned. It's strange, is all.
It's simple common sense, knowledge of what we know, what we don't know and experience with Comic-Con announcements and presentations.
We know that Fox has 90 minutes allotted but they're keeping the details secret. We strongly suspect that some of that 90 minutes will be spent discussing Wolverine and Days of Future Past, but the cast is known for both of those productions and, while it's likely they'll try to 'wow' us with at least some guests and tidbits related to those projects, the major details are already known, so there's little reason for secrecy.
As for X-Force, I have
never seen a project announced with a detailed presentation. Previously unknown productions are announced with quick, brief statements. Producers, directors and script-writers are sometimes attached, but an X-Force film would almost certainly not be coming until 2016 and it's highly unlikely that a cast is in place or anything would be formally presented on that project at this point - when Days of Future Past is still filming and any hype related to X-Force would steal enthusiasm from DAFP.
The most logical non-FF possibility to me would be a non-comic property - such as Planet of the Apes, but I think a lengthy presentation on X-Force is
highly unlikely.
If I'm wrong, I'll be right here to hear about it and glad to do so. Please feel free to say: "Nanny, nanny boo-boo, I told you so." when it turns out to be X-Force instead of FF.
