The "Keep Hope Alive" (that the rights can revert back to Marvel) thread

have any of you even followed this project that is not a synopsis but a logline and was old new and debunked back in april lol

Jeremy Slater, one of The Fantastic Four reboot’s original screenwriters, has posted a series of tweets seemingly debunking(?) the above logline. “Hahahaha nope,” one of the tweets read, while others remind us, “IRON MAN logline: Tony Stark talks about MySpace, builds weapons for terrorists, AVENGERS logline: Agent Maria Hill drives down tunnel, saves world.”

Sorry didn't mean to induce panic, it was on the Daily Superhero this morning! :ff:

I wouldn't be surprised if Fox intentionally floated things like this so we'll be happy to just get a bad film instead of an epically bad film.:cwink:

I say let's get Freddie Prince Jr and Sarah Michelle Geller as Richard and Sue

Is this movie really happening? or like a joke?

Sick of this MCU must get everything ********.

Marvel sold them. Deal With It.

People have said why the F4 should be at Marvel many times, they fit perfectly there. The other rights that they sold, like X-Men and Spider-Man, are fine were they are and work at different studios. It's different with the F4 and people will want them back at Marvel until we get a great F4 film.

So wanting the rights to return will continue. Deal With It.

Doesn't change anything, they are where they are.

Wishing and complaining that they shoulda coulda woulda be somewhere else is an excersise in utter futility.

Something is only futile when you give up.

Who cares if it is futile? I think all of us realize that our complaints won't magically make Fox revert the rights back.

I fully realize that hoping for something won't make it happen, but I'm still not convinced Fox will make this movie. So it's really a matter of trying to read the tea leaves more than thinking my whining will make a difference. (and with me it's not about feeling Marvel needs the property as much as a complete lack of faith in Fox's ability to do it right - I'd be much happier if Sony had it).

Is there anybody here really willing to bet any substantial sum that Fox will actually make this movie? If so, give me 2:1 odds and I'll put $50 up against your $100 to the winner's favorite charity.

Fox has given us next to nothing to illustrate that's really their intent. Within a month we may have some real information, but until that time I'll be trying to determine Fox's intentions which aren't yet clear.

So is trying to shut down and censor discussion. If you don't like this thread, there are plenty of other ones.

Hey with Brian Singer making Sentinel vacuum cleaners there's plenty to be hopeful for in the CBM universe....as well as deeply worried.

Dude, I know!! It's ridiculous!

I mean, it's just like when people were all whiney and complaining about wanting other Marvel properties back at Marvel Studios...like Ghost Rider, Daredevil, Punisher, and Blade!

C'mon, guys! Get over it! Those are never coming back, either!

...wait, what? They did? Are you sure?

Oh...so your whole argument is moot? Gee, that's too bad...

Yeah and Marvel made an agreement with FOX when they sold the rights. So fans better deal with it. And FOX's superhero movies (good or bad) actually paved ways to more superhero films.

I'm not really liking about the rumor casting for Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic Four and Human Torch but I think if FOX made all the right decisions and if they hired the right people to work in this movie (like they did in X-Men), this reboot could be amazing! Even if its not close to the comic-books.

I'll give this reboot a fair chance, and Fox's past two Marvel flicks have been great imo. But this one should be at the MCU for obvious reasons.

Be awesome to see Surfer with Starlord, Nova, Ronan, Thanos and crew.

Why should fans "better deal with" a situation that is changing yearly in Marvel's favor? And after the box office disappointments of XM:FC and TW, FOX is going to soon realize that the studio can't make a profitable FF film and let the film rights go.

People who don't like the topic "better deal with" the idea that this discussion isn't going away.
