I was shocked to hear that when Big Daddy is on fire that the fire was real. It looks so fake in the movie. Kudos for them using real fire.

I thought they added that fire after too. To tell the truth though, I thought they made it look fake on purpose cause it actually looks really good and fits the look of the movie. I'm not sure if a real looking fire would of made the scene better.

They filmed the fire at 1000 frames per second so it made it look fake and you can hear a bit of unhappyness in Vaughn's voice when he says that people think the fire is fake.

I thought he said they used fake fire first and it looked like it does in the movie, so he tried real fire and come to find out that's is how it looks at 1000 frames per second. But did he ever say if they went with the real or fake for the final cut?

Did anyone notice that in the comic when they go to the comic shop, I think Red-Mist is talking to the cashier about Mark Millar's 1985?

I'm pretty sure he said it's real fire in the end because than he made that comment about how when they do real everyone thinks its fake. Just like the one shot of the sunset that looks fake but in fact is real.

I think the sequence is so surreal and Vaughn did such a good job of building tension, no one really is caring whether something is a good SFX shot or not.

I know they were said to be batons in the movie, but does anyone know what the weapons kick-ass used were actually called?

yeah, i doubt they were some kind of specialty weapons in the movie, cuz the point was he was just some teenager in a wetsuit.

Shoulda duck taped to lead pipes!

I might try that too :p

or duct taping green electrical tape to the nightsticks...

This is very rare for me but I gave this film a 10/10. It went above and beyond my expectations. Hit Girl is the single greatest side-kick ever and Nic Cage has redeemed himself in the comic community after Ghost Rider.

How are the comics? As good as the film...?

I prefer the film to the comic, but that's just me. I do like both, however, and I do recommend the comic.

Woo, I finally got to watch everything on the Blu-Ray. Great stuff.

Speaking of great stuff, did the Myspace "Artist on Artist" ever get posted here? I don't remember it being on YouTube before, but I remember it being one of my favorites from their press circuit, just because it was the only one I saw with Aaron, Chris & Chloe together. Anyway, I think it just found its way onto YouTube recently, and it's quite a cute little interview for anyone who hasn't seen it:

I actually saw that on myspace when it came out, but I couldn't figure out how to save it @_@ But yeah, I was wondering when someone would bring up Nic Cage in Face/Off haha
