There are a great deal of people out there that didn't like this movie..

Now, I went in with really high expectations, so, of course the movie fell short a bit, but, I still felt entertained. The movie was a bit better than mediocre, but I could tell that there was heart in the production.

I was expecting something different, but I still thought it was awesome. The characters, excluding Red Mist, are what made it awesome to me.

That's why it's so good going in without knowing what to expect or being extremely hyped.

Had no idea what this movie was about, only saw the previews and knew "superhero comedy." Saw it and loved every single moment. Like I said, enjoyed it so much I gave it a very very rare 10/10. I didn't even rate TDK that high.

I loved this movie. Thought it was a very heart felt attempt at the comic. They certainly got Millars point across.

The only thing I was annoyed by was McLovin (can't stand his voice in anything but Superbad) and Nic Cages-Adam West immitation. Really came off worse than how Adam really talks.

But I loved all the nods/references they used.

The Adam West voice was THE best part in the movie. I was rolling on the floor the entire time.

Kick-Ass is certainly fresh and different. Good movie for the home collection. I'm willing to bet if you played this movie for 10 of your friends, seven of them would think it's great, two might think it's okay and one would hate it. I wouldn't say it's a film for everyone. The best part of this film is that you always feel the heroes are in genuine danger. Something you can't get from other superhero movies.

Kick-Ass getting stabbed his first time out
really set the mood for a lot of people. A couple of my friends said that once that happened they really realized this wasn't going to be your standard superhero/comic movie. I also remember being in the theater and felt like at that moment I start paying even more attention to the movie. It was different, which was nice.

I think Nic Cage is my favorite part of the movie now. His Adam West voice never gets old.

Nice avi, Bunker

I didn't know anything going in beyond the fact that my friend told me it was a dark comic. I enjoyed it at the theater, and now, on my second viewing on Blu-ray, I liked it even more.
This is probably my second favorite film of the year after Inception.

GN form. I wanted single issues, but they were never available. or at least, at my shops.

Hmm. Might have to look out for it next time I visit my comic book shop because honestly I havent read the freaking thing :csad:

Graphic novel form is always good.... I bet hardcore fans have both! GN form to read, and single issues to seal up and preserve or something

I don't think Kick-Ass 2 is out until closer to the end of August. Mark Millar's website has made no announcement yet.

The GN is quite good...but movie is better...and I might actually do that also :o

Do you think it will be as good or even better than the original, the sequel?

Since I love the movie sooooooo much more than the comic, I don't even think I'll be buying Kick-Ass 2. Don't want to spoil the movie. :o

I am....I can't help it...But then again, the movie was a fun joyride, the comic was...bleak.:oldrazz:

Maybe...I quite liked the first comic, and thought it was new. The
fight in times square
should be ****ing amazing, for both comic and film.

The last official release date of KA2 I was told by my vendor was September 17th. But I've also heard word that the first issue will be ready at the end of this month.
