I can see him as Loki. He has that 'I'll mentally **** your day up' look, know what I mean?

Plus he isn't physically beefy like Thor is, but he isn't scrawny either.
So he wouldn't look big compared to Thor, but compared to average humans he might look bigger.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. As much as I like Quinto, I don't think he, or anyone else from Heroes, should be allowed anywhere near a superhero movie. It's just lazy casting.

I thought he did quite well in Match Point.

I don't think I've liked Jonathan Rhys Meyers in anything I've seen him in.

He was very loki like as Steerpike in Gormenghast where he was quite the Machiavellian schemer.

Meyers was also quite charismatic in this weird low budget Euro flick called Octane where he played a non-vampire kind of cult leader and I liked him as Southern jackass who wanted to kick Tobey Maguires ass in Ride with the Devil.

He would be a fantastic choice for the role, IMHO. I can just picture him as Loki easily.

Haven't read all the posts, so don't know if he was mentioned, but what about Michael Pitt as Loki? My trigger was a picture of Alexander Skarsgard, and Pitt looks much like him -- actually like he could be his scrawny, demented kid brother.

He's a real good actor, at least in what I've seen -- Murder by Numbers, Funny Games (bad movie but he's good), and Delirious (supremely underrated film overall).

What do you guys think?

I've heard good things about Michael Pitt, but never seen him act myself.

Now, with Chris Hemsworth cast as Thor, watch as Alexander Skarsgard gets cast as Loki.

Pitt was good in The Dreamers and Bully. He seems to have a solid range. I don't think he really has a good look for Loki, personally, but I wouldn't mind if they cast him.
