This could be a realistic solution to having Heath Ledger perma-white. They dont even have to explain it because there is no explanation for it.

I feel sorry for the guy, but I like his attitude toward his condition. Reminds me of some of my friends who have disabilities but dont let it stop them from enjoying life.

My uncle has that disease (or something very similar). You can't really tell by looking at his skin since he's not black, but he's got hair like a skunk. It turned out kinda badass for him.

What, if anything, do you guys have to say about the fact that the Joker never grows stubble, despite wearing the makeup for what I assume is weeks? Does that bother anyone? Seems like it might have been an interesting direction to go visually. I understand it falls into the category of "suspension of disbelief," but do you think it would've been cool?

it bothered me but then i got flamed by

"DENIAL! JOKER WEARS MAKE UP OMFG GET OVER IT!"

I havent thought about it, and it doesn't really bother me. :o

I highly doubt Joker will grow a beard or stubble, that's nothing I've thought about and hopefully nothing that needs to be placed in this film either. We've never seen him grow a beard nor shave in the comics, no need to do so here.

Maybe the makeup kills hair. :)

This is a damn nice poster

Sorry if this has been pointed out already, but in this poster where Joker's writing, "Why so serious?" in blood, do you think it's just the glass, or are his arms actually white?!

Maybe the dude's skin is so ****ed up from the makeup that hair just doesn't grow there anymore. It's a question someone like Kevin Smith would ask, but it's something you never think about.

Yeah, it's all part of suspension of disbelief--I was just curious what you guys thought of the idea; now I know :). Moving on...

Maybe, before the Joker came to Gotham, he was living in Los Angeles and went to a plastic surgeon and had laser surgery done on his face to stop hair from growing.

You can get that surgery in pratically any major city, not just LA. :oldrazz:

No matter how many times I see this I still love it . Mainly it captures Mr. J look perfectly .

Ok, so the Joker had the surgery done in Gotham. Went insane for some reason, maybe botched hair transplant, killed the doctor, and started painting his face.

That would be a good explanation, but people don't really know much about that 'condition'. It probably wouldn't perfectly turn him white, or even just his face. I have it actually, but just a tiny spot on my neck.... that really isn't noticable at all. I'm just saying, he'd have to have an EXTREME case of it in order for it to be all over body. And it would be really really weird for it to be on his face only. It probably wouldn't be clown white either?

See, I technically have it according to my doctor, but its hardly like OH MY GOD ARE YOU WEARING WHITE MAKEUP ON YOUR NECK??

Either way, I'd rather him have the makeup then vitiligo. Especially since people seem to only pay attention to really extreme cases of vitiligo and having the joker have it would probably just give it an even worse rep. I'm just saying.

Why did you just put a random pic of a girl?

EDIT: Ok, nevermind. Shoulda read the entire thing. Doesn't really look like you have vitiligo....

Well, I do... according to my Doctor at least. He could be wrong. But I don't know, I've had that white spot since I was about seven so... I don't know what exactly it would be otherwise. People just tend to think its really extreme because a lot of the time the only cases are talked about are the really extreme ones, or ones with black people since it's such a contrast.

I just wanted to point out that it wouldn't make much sense for the joker to have it haha. Or at least I wouldn't believe it........

I'd say it's the sun and you are developing cancer, but yer a Snowback, so I don't know what to tell you. Star Chaser. . . Star Gazer, hahahahaha. Nevermind me now. I'm just throwing out ideas.

Still, like i said, it would have to be pretty extreme.

ANYWAY totally off topic for a bit there. Either way I am satisfied with makeup. :p

But also, am I the only one around who really really hopes that Joker is deadly with those knives? I feel slightly sadistic, I want Batman to get shanked so bad.... hahahah
