The Dark Knight The many faces of the Joker. Which is the "real" one?

I think we've hit upon something in this thread that, really, there is no answer for at the moment. I can't imagine any possibility that makes sense as to why he goes in with brown hair, and then reveals himself, and it's green.

If he dyes his hair green, then that means he dyes his hair sometime after entering the bank but before taking off his mask. That doesn't make any sense, nor is it plausible in such a fast-paced situation. The Joker doesn't have time to do that, so it gets thrown out.

Has a second or mutliple bank robberies not been discussed? Seem's to make sense, he appears to be wearing different suits in the photo's and it could easily be that one pre dates the other, giving him time to work on his appearance. Another idea, and its just a thought is that if you are referring to the photo of him outside the bank (near the trailer) there is a possibility that it was taken sans reapplication of make up and dye prior to filming.

Just a thought.

I have felt since I heard this rumor that his face is the only thing white. Like someone dunked his head in acid or whatever.
I will have a field day if the "realism supporters" back that idea up, if it comes to fruition. :o

the only difference between the new pic and the knife pic is that the make-up is a little more worn off  and . . . . the lighting . . . it's drastically different . . . that makes a big . . . umm, difference . . . what you're seeing is not Joker 'deteriorating', but the make-up wearing off a bit . . . mostly around the folds of his skin, and the parts of his face that change w/ his expression . . . the lighting is much more ominous in the latest pic, and the knife pic it's a lot brighter . . . that's pretty much the only difference . . .

I'd ask you not to insult my intelligence, I can tell the differences in... uhm.... lighting. I can even notice that -gasp- his make up is messier in the last picture! :wow:

I was commenting on his skin. Not his make up.

Neither pic is he making really any expressions, yet, the last pic the folds of his skin are more than prominent. His face is far more wrinkled.

But lord knows you're going to say messy make up and lighting can do that to you.

Also note, I am not coming up with any conspiracy theory, it's just what I noticed from the first new glimpse of the new pic.

I hate the knife pic, I hate how he looks almost clean cut in my opinion. I'd love it if the scene barely lasted a second, and he looked like he did in the newest pic the entire flick.

I dont like the look of the image with him holding the knife to Rachels face...his hair looks wierd and the "scarring" looks fake....er, than the other ones...

how bout that theory i posted a whileagon in another thread..
he makes up the joker, then accident happens then he is the joker permamently...

thats the way i see it, as i woudl do it...

i found myself agreeing with alot what nolan does...

With a new picture of Heath as the Joker under our belts it is time to reflect and try and solve the mystery of what exactly the Joker will naturally look like in this movie. One thing is for certain, it won't be consistent.

The first pic we got. The skin looks bleached (there are no visible cracks in the make-up) and the scar is extremely prominent. Also the lipstick is very messy, covering most oh his mouth ear to ear.

Here the scar looks significantly less grusome and the lipstick is much neater. However he is clearly wearing make-up (but is it white make-up or flesh make-up?) It should also be noted that his hair is brown with green running through it.

Seeing as we know the Joker is the Joker from the very beginning of the film, it is clear that at some point the Joker must use flesh make-up as you can see the skin around his eyes in this pic. Also, the hair is brown so he is either wearing a wig or has dyed it.

Its hard to say but the make-up in this pic looks very complete and filled-in. Could be his "natural" skin tone. The lipstick is once again neat but the hair is green to the roots this time.

Also, if you include the leaked pic of the Joker (the close-up where he is laughing which I can't post here) you will see that his make-up/green hair seems to be coming off, as if he was caught in the rain. His lipstick is also smudged.

Its really hard to know what to expect. With every new pic I get more confused. Nolan has said he is using the first 2 Joker appearances very strongly in this interpretation of the character. In those comics the medics who work on the Joker are surprised to see his skin as actually white all the way down his body, and the Joker wears skin-toned make-up as a disguise.

One thing is for sure, Nolan is great with surprises and secrets.

I hope the final phase of Joker will be the top one. That was the first pic released of him and I like it. The scarring looks far more gruesome and dark red makeup looks better than the lighter red. The white skin looks bleached in.

your joking right???

do you people STILL NOT SEE IT...for christ's sake....

how do you know its NOT fergie?

that pic made me remember, weren't the reports that joker would be "abino like, but that the coler would be uneven" i don't mean to start the perma white argument again, but does anyone else remeber that?

Fergie is a man. I can't believe some people can't see that. Also, so are all of the Pussycat Dolls.

Is that picture actually still banned here? I'm wondering, because in this SHH article http://www.superherohype.com/news/topnews.php?id=6496 which links to this page http://www.latinoreview.com/news/exclusive-the-joker-intro-for-tdk-3250

we are given this "new" pic. So even SHH links to an article with this so called banned picture, and now that Latinoreview has posted it, can't we say that this pic is now "official" and just do not ask where latinoreview got it from?

For some reason, I'm thinking, the reason is not the facial makeup, but instead the lips.

I think the reason the car pic looks so different is because of the clean lipstick.

I did some quick work on Photoshop to make the car pic look like the first pic (the lips). Here it is:

Opinions?

Ya, until we get an ok they are going to be banned.

Okay, but who decides this? I mean we are not meant to post this picture on the SHH forum, but SHH itself is allowed to link to an article containing this picture? It's a bit weird in my book....

well at the risk of being sued (which I doubt) i wouldn't take a chance. They probably aren't banned anymore I mean they are everywhere

Okay, but don't you think it's weird that SHH links to an article containing the pic(s), while linking to an external page on the forum that has the pics is not allowed?

It's the exact same situation, only 1 is on the main site (which actually is a main portal and has more visitors than a forum) and 1 is on the forum...

Opinion: it's too damn small.
