Here's my two cents, I don't like the look of Nolans Joker at all! I want the classic comic book Joker.
They should of cast someone that looks like the joker, Willem Dafoe, or that guy from the Willard movie, Heath Ledger just isn't doing it for me.
This will probably be a great movie, but this guy looks nothing like the joker.
well isn't he wearing a mask to hide his face and thus the scars as well when he's outside the bank?
n00b, didn't you know that Heath isn't the REAL Joker?
In one of Nolan's epic plot twists, it is later revealed that the Heath-Joker is just one big Joker set-up by the REAL Joker in order to get his sick kicks, and so, at the end of the movie, we are left with a cliffhanger, as Batman prepares to combat the REAL Joker.
From what's been revealed so far we know that when The Joker enters the bank he looks like this:

with very brown hair and flesh colored skin (importantly around the eyes). From the leaked bit of script we know that when he speaks to the bank teller he removes his mask and wipes his face (the towel is visible in the next pic). The bank clerk is horrified by his appearance. No one would be horrified by someone in makeup, but someone with ghostly white skin hiding underneath makeup would be very freaky.

In this pic he is still wearing the same clothes but we can see that there is no flesh tone around the eyes and his hair is very green.
This, taken with the hints from Nolan about the first Joker appearances, should give a pretty clear indication about The Joker's true look.
He applies makeup.
Flesh colored makeup.

Me too.I really have no clue what's going on here, but I just want to say that all these pics get me so amped up for this movie. That is all.
i posted this some time ago, but ill post it again.......
how many days did it take to shoot this bank robbery scene? probably 3-5 days right, why would they paint heath's face for the days that they weren't filming the "reveal" of the joker. especially if he would be doing most if not all of the filming with the mask on, it would be very uncomfortable for someone to wear makeup underneath a mask take after take, sweat and all.
plus it would be a waste of time to make him up if its not going to be used.
my theory, they filmed him with the mask on, without makeup since its not needed, then when they were good an ready to film the "reveal" they put makeup on him, and then wore the mask. most days filming mask + no makeup, 1 or 2 days filming mask+ makeup=reveal day.
pretty much these pictures dont really prove anything, not even the imax one, because that shot may not be in the movie and might have been released to promote them doing some scenes in imax. plus we dont know what the masks actually consist of. my point is we may never know until the movie comes out.
The bank sequence is very confusing, at least when you take a look at the spy pics. One could make the argument, as a poster did above, that they simply didn't bother putting Heath's makeup on for the exterior shots (where he's wearing the mask) because it wasn't necessary. Then, for the interior shots, when he removes the mask, they made sure he was made up (as obviously, his "reveal" is a closeup, as the official pic above w/ Nolan attests.)
But there's one problem with all of this - Joker goes in with brown hair (though it has a streak or two of green in it.) We can see this from the spy pics of Heath. However, in the reveal shot, he clearly has very green hair, at least greener than it was when he went in.
So the question is: how did this happen? He goes in with brown, and yet when the mask comes off, it's green. If something wipes away the brown, it means his hair was dyed brown, right? I'm not making assumptions here, these are just guesses. I really can't figure it out.
Maybe he holds the bank hostage for a while, giving him time to put his makeup on and dye his hair for his address to the city.

secondly, in the police uniform pic, his hair looks to be much shorter than in any other photos we've seen. my guess is that this scene is somewhere near the end of the movie, possibly after escaping from police custody? and if so, he would have had all his makeup already washed off while he was locked away (assuming he isnt really "perma-white")
The bank scene is supposedly where he blows the manager's head off correct?
