Jennifer Lawrence does look pretty amazing there in those photos, and she might have the right personality for MJ. She's certainly better than Kirsten Dunst who wasn't supermodel hot herself.

Something I won't hold against Dunst is that when she was cast, she definitely was one of the best actresses at the time to cast in the role; she was the IT girl of the most loved teen movies at the time, and of course she would have served better as Gwen, but it's easy to see why she was chosen for MJ. I personally thought Tara Reid should have played opposite her as Gwen.

However, I don't see the need for MJ to be supermodel hot, she just needs to ooze sex appeal while being hot, supermodel looks aren't quite necessary.

Regarding Jennifer Lawrence, there's just something about her that I don't feel she can bring MJ. Maybe it's because I'm already used to her as Mystique.

Everyone thought Emma Stone was going to be MJ, but ended up being Gwen. (people cried and bit**** like little fanboys at first because they thought they were getting MJ) But so far it's turned out great. I don't see why Jennifer Lawrence couldn't be MJ. Actresses get paid to be versatile. If Hunger Games is a hit then she can bring is some star power.

Does anyone think that MJ has already been cast? There was that Sony casting call for a beautiful redhead a while back. It's a possibility.

Yeah part of me things that's what's going to happen. They mention Anna Watson's neice and then we she a red head get in a car or something before Aunt May can introduce her to Peter. But the other part of me thinks that will never happen because I don't think the GA would like that. But an actual cameo would work for the GA.

Jennifer has a Mary Jane type personality, funny, confident and cool, she is actually quite similar to Emma Stone. Plus she DOES look good next to Andrew Garfield, just put a picture of them together and you'll see.

But I'm still Pro Amber on this.


She can do beautiful love interest, 'girl next door' type and sex siren successfully which is what Mary Jane needs to be.

Yeah but MJ doesn't need to be first and foremost funny, she needs to be first and foremost carefree and Amber is good at doing carefree.

Jennifer is good at being tough. (See her films) But I don't totally object to her being MJ.

It's hard for me to believe they would add Joy or Kate (whoever those are hahaha) and not add Mary-Jane!

Imo we should have MJ, Betty and maybe Felicia. But none of the others, these 3 would be enough women in the SM movies, don't you think?
