I was just wondering about that, since I was thinking of ways to bring back Psylocke and Angel into the fold and perhaps making a movie with Captain Britain (not necessarily Excalibur) could be a good way to do it. Something small like Logan/DP - but with a brother and sister. I do think Fox owns the rights to them and the Starjammers, but not Alpha Flight.

Doing an Excalibur movie seems like a long stretch to me. Maybe if the New Mutants trilogy and a X Force trilogy proved to be successful. Okay. But I could see X-Factor getting made first.

Kinda unrelated but James McAvoy's Split (Directed by Shyamalan) just made $40 Million opening weekend. Certified Fresh on rottentomatoes at 76%. Good for him.

Well deserved. It's a great movie and McAvoy's performance is amazing.

She seems to like doing horrors/thrillers. I guess there will some elements of that in New Mutants. Fox has to act fast before she blows up with all the award buzz, cause that's where she is heading.

I'm guessing Cable, Domino, Warlock, Cannonball, Sunspot, Magik, Wolfsbane, Mirage plus release dates around last week of February. To hype Logan

I have high hopes for X23 and Domino too.

X-23 will officially be most popular Female for FoX in a few weeks. And not even a English Speaking character.


Hopefully this pushes more women and international characters in X-Men

Not confirmed, but McWeeny does have a really good track record, Taylor Joy has followed Josh Boone on Instagram (and vice versa), and the have never worked before. She also liked his Magik photo. There as a McAvoy video a while back saying an actress he was working with telling him Professor X is suppose to be in New Mutants, etc. I would be VERY shocked if she isn't. She even commented about seeing that Demon Bear short online.

She also liked another New Mutants related pic on Boone's on Instagram recently as well. She seems like the first role cast after The Witch came out, and rightfully so. She's been on a roll ever since with her movies and her latest Sundance pic got picked up for distribution (and her performance was well received once again)

Not to jump the shark or anything, but Shawn Madden (who keeps his ears pretty low to the ground for Fox scoops) did mention that we were gonna get a DP2 announcement last week (and that Cable/Dom are both done deals), but was pushed back until after Oscar Noms just in case DP got one. Either way, casting for both movies is probably really close to being announced.

Magik's popular enough that she's made it on to other teams, like the All New X-Men series. And she's sort of the hero of this story, so I'm sure they'll have several candidates. but, they rarely go with fan casts on this sort of thing. I believe Sophie Turner as Jean Grey was a first for X-Men, BUT it wasn't the most popular choice around here. A lot of fans were rooting for her friend, what's her face?
