The New New Avengers

Okay so this is going to be a street level team that'll fight ninjas, gangsters, and The Hood. The only reason this is called Avengers is for the $$$. DD and Iron Fist will join before long. This doesn't interest me at all, outside of Spidey but he's got 50 books I can get.

Secret Avengers: definite
Avengers: I'm on the fence
New New Avengers: Not gonna bother

I wonder if there's gonna be a 2nd Friday teaser later in the day like they did with Secret Avengers.

Well it's Bendis so that is possible. LOL @ the thought of The Thing having a hard time with some ninjas (kinda like Iron Man in NA vol 1).

So far I'm definitely buying Avengers for at least one arc and I'm probably buying Secret Avengers and Avengers Academy. SA depends on the reason the team exists and what kind of team it is, AA depends on the creative team. New Avengers is completely out of the running.

LOL, Bendis made the beyonder into an Inhuman, sentry into a Immortal drug fiend, and gods knows whats gonna happen to Kang.

Overall the teasers for all three books have been...blah. Barton back as Hawkeye has easily been the best one. We all knew Thor and Tony would be there, but nothing has been earth shattering IMO.

I hope they reveal the SA lineup soon, or at least before the first issue comes out.

Good call there Bill. Everyone was questioning why Grimm was there in the first place. Most had assumed that they were trying to cover all ends of the Marvel U. So I guess we can expect Beast, Widow and the monkey on Secret Avengers. It's kinda weird to have Natasha on a different Avengers team than Bucky, they're a great team!

Unless Widow's on Avengers. Bendis did say that the roster is more than the people we've seen. But I'm worried how Bendis would write their relationship.

I think they are going to have almost every good guy superhero be an Avenger for a while. Almost like when Perez was drawing it and there were SOOO many Avengers. It was a giant organization. Its a whos who and all your favorites were involved.
Plus, these good guys have been working against Osborne and his bad guys for so long, the heroes should get some recognition.

Almost like when Perez was drawing it and there were SOOO many Avengers.

That was only for the first 3 issues of Volume 3 to help people wash the Heroes Reborn taste out of their mouths. By issue 4 they had the lineup set and they went off and did their thing for a while.

You forgot the customary "yea, verily!" I really hope Bendis isn't too terrible with Thor's dialogue. We know it's, um... different... from Bendis' standard dialogue. I don't remember it being very good in that FCBD issue last year, either, but it's been a while since I read it.
