he's bascially a big strong rock. Visually and powerwise, there's nothnig spectacular about him. His powers are very generic and boring. What he has going for him is his personality, but there are other humorous wisecrackers which I find more appealing, like Spiderman for example. Ben needs to go stick with the FF as he's actually unique and needed over there

I think the biggest thing with Thing isn't his powers or his humor, but his heart and gentleness. Add that with his humor, look, and powers and he's a great character.

Honestly, for all the grief that he takes now, I can't think of many artists that had an impact like he did. Usually, you can peg an artist/writer to one particularly good title and run. But with Byrne, you choose between X-Men, Alpha Flight, West Coast Avengers, Superman, She-Hulk, Fantastic Four (my own personal fav was Marvel Team Up, but I don't think it ever reached the popularity of those others...)

Shooter is another guy who kind of gets a bad rap. I mean, the guy presided over one of the best era's at Marvel. Sometimes, you don't get results like that by being everybody's best friend.

Awesome. Some new info out here:

-Black Widow and Ant-Man rounding out the Secret Avengers. Assuming this is O'Grady in the old-school Pym/Lang uniform.
-Jarvis will continue playing a role with the Avengers as a significant supporting character. Seeing him with Iron Man and the main team gives me hope that the Avengers Mansion is coming back.
-Iron Fist and Dr. Strange back with the New Avengers. Does Strange have a new outfit?
-Justice is helping Pym out with Academy.
-I really hope we'll be seeing all those villains soon. We know Kang's the main Avengers first major nemesis, and Ultron's bothering Pym and Jocasta right now in the waning issues of "Mighty", but here you've got Doom, Hood, the Wrecking Crew, Zemo, and even Mr. Hyde.

Is it just me, or is Marvel starting to remember what the Avengers are supposed to be again?
