I could see that. Something like Peter's aunt isn't Aunt May, but rather Aunt M'mutu from Wakanda, and after Ben's death she goes back to Wakanda and takes Peter with her.

Just finished reading exiles #2 it was really good We find out who Black Panther is and we were right he is younger but maybe not who you expected. Oh and so far they are not very good exiles

Yeah, he's named T'Chaka. I think we can stop spoilerizing it now that it's been out for like 2 weeks, too.

I still would've preferred something a bit more outlandish, like a black Peter Parker or Deadpool. Part of the fun of alternate realities is that anything can happen, so why limit it to something as plain as the son of the 616 Black Panther?

I think, for myself anyway, I let my imagination run wild about who it could be. So who it could have been became more and more alternate.
But the character might be cool still.

I think the Beast character isn't a super genius like his counterpart.
It keeps getting brought up and Beast manages to avoid it.

I think the only reason Black Panther was on the disapointing side was because of how crazy the imaginations went.

I honestly thought it was going to be Peter...it just seemed to fit.

After all the theories, the reveal was just sort of boring.

The Beast in Exiles seems to be kind of like a Joe Fixit version of Beast. He's got average intelligence and less control over his animalistic side, which makes him a bit more gruff.

It did seem a bit pedestrian for a reveal but it will be interesting to see if that's all there is to it. I agree about Beast average joe who you don't want to make mad. I'm enjoying it so far.

I think (and after two issues its completely reasonable to jump to such a conclusion) that maybe they are trying, at first, to do more subtle alternate reality stuff? Nothing too outlandish just yet, sometimes its easy to get caught up in the alternate reality portion and forget the story.
(again, jumping to conclusions too soon) but maybe thats what they are doing. And if thats so, its totally understandable. Just a random thought, have to wait and read more issues to see.
I love the series so far, can't wait for issue three.
Why isn't it out already?!

I think the alternate reality is relatively tame because there's something bigger going on with Blink and Morph and that's going to be the main story. We still don't know why they're there, what happened to their Exiles, why Morph is pretending to be the Timebroker, or why Blink is apparently pretending not to know anything about the Exiles.

That is what I'm waiting for them to explain.

Especially why Morph is now acting as the Time Broker when Sage could effectively do the same thing and allow Morph to go back to his life or to rejoin as an Exile.

I think it has to do more with him being funny then reason.

It's gotta have a reason. We got hints that Blink knows a lot more than she's letting on in the last issue, so I'm sure that and Morph's new role will be clarified later on.

Yeah I'm about 90% sure the blink in the new new exiles is the same Blink from the original. As for Morph we should know his story before we reach issue 10 I hope.

The only reason I am not 100% sure is because

in the Exiles Annual, I think it was, they introduced another Exiles team (almost like a mirror image) that had another Blink. This one was dating Morph. The team also had Magnus, Mimic, Tbolt, and Nocturne.

So maybe this Blink is that team's Blink and Morph is her boyfriend.

And thats why I am not 100% sure.

There is clearly a mystery being revealed.
And poor Polaris.

I think Parker himself made no secrets that this Blink was the Blink from the original series. It was one of the first things he said about his run.

Yea, Blink mentioned the Phalanx mission...which shows that she is the original.

Only reason I am not 100% sure is the other Blink, the team is practically the original, They were sort of the same exact team just from another dimension.
So I thought, maybe what he meant was that she is the Blink from the original team but he meant the team introduced in Annuals.
Also her and Mimic would have a closer relationship.

Another thing that occurs to me, Blink was talking to her Talismon like there was a mysterious person pulling its strings. Plus the Talismon is doing things it never did before.
