Not that I'm objecting, but a lot of newbies seem to popping up all at once here. Gangsta' 
I think you should be alright to apply for Jack, Animus. Just keep in mind that the current season of the game is scheduled to conclude by the end of this month.

I'm setting up a bunch of intricate stuff with some of the WildStorm characters in my Cyborg origins arc. If you're dead set on Hawksmoor let me know and I'll PM you some details.
Character you wish to portray: Swamp Thing
.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Hero
.Powers and physical attributes: Swamp Thing has complete elemental control over plants and can command vegetative matter to do his bidding. He can also control the growth of vegetation. Swamp Thing draws power from the earth itself thus giving a great deal of added strength to whatever host he is using. He also is nearly immortal because even if his current host, a part of him will survive and reform.
.Origin and backstory (as you see it): Alec Holland was born with a gifted, complicated mind. He was a savant when it came to the world of science and plants but had trouble relating to anything else. Alec would get his master degree at a very young age and became a scientist searching for a way to create life in even the harshest environment. His research is years ahead of anyone else in the field. His lab is attacked by unknown assailants and a fire breaks out. Alec tries to escape by jumping out of a window into the swamplands that surrounds his lab.
Right before he is about to die a mystical force known as The Green embraced him and he became the Swamp Thing.
.The burning question - Why this character?: Because he is amazing, and I love his powers. To play a character so connected to primal energy yet trying to hold on to some of his humanity. That struggle seemed very interesting to me.
.How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?: I am exploring doing some different things with Alec. I want him to be a genius that has trouble relating to the world. He has never felt like other people but when he finds his humanity being lost to the primal energy he is desperate to make a human connection. Also I want the mythos of the Green to be a part of Alec story from the very beginning. Its possible that the Swamp Thing energy might even take on different host.
.What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?: Well I have not quite hit my stride yet, but my hope is to bring new energy to the story. I always have an interesting way of looking at things. Also I think I am a pretty good story teller.
.Provide a short sample post as your desired character, in three paragraphs or more:
Alec had told himself he should be asleep. It had been days since he had any rest but it was no easy thing to shut off my brain. So after twenty minutes of lying in bed awake I headed back into the lab. Perhaps I would just do some review of the data and hope to fall asleep at the screens.
I set up four monitors at once. One just scrolls raw data from my formula. Two of them show data from previous test runs that failed and then on the big screen I showed video from one of my test runs that didn't fail in the least. That is where my eyes go watching the plot of dessert soil spring to life. It was like music.
When the first bullet strikes the screen I can't process what is happening. My sense are overwhelmed with confusion as sparks and shards of glass shower down on me from above. Right when I figure out what happens, more shots are fired. Some tear into the computers and others tear into my flesh.
What is happening to me...why is this happening? Why couldn't I have just gone to bed.

I'm about 99.9% done with the new microheroes (I had the last one nearly done, but my freaking computer crapped out before I could save it), but while I go about ripping my hair out and starting anew on the last piece, take a look at something I quickly whipped up a couple of days ago...

Nope. Even long before I actually came out and said so, I stopped going with that design when I realized that it didn't jive with the image I had in my head, even in the Ultimate universe. I also came to the realization that a collar on Superman is dumb.
This saddens me greatly.
