How was that guys? Should I make one of those banner things that Spikex1 has? They look cool.

But, it's out of order - it's backwards. ... That truly is ultimate ... and bizarro. How can Bizarro Batman exist in a universe where Bizarro hasn't been introduced yet?![]()
Let me just say that it's not Drugged up Alfred.
He'll be Crazy Quilt.
Somehow I get the feeling I'm going to regret this, since I'm already having enough trouble as it is keeping up with my two characters, but the allure of picking up this character was just too good to resist.
THE NEW ULTIMATE DC RPG
Character Application
.Character you wish to portray: Dick Grayson, aka 'Redbird'
.Hero, villain, or walking the line?: Walking the Line (for now)
.Powers and physical attributes: Dick has no supernatural or metahuman powers or abilities. However, he is an extremely athletic young man, a devoted student of jiu jitsu and a few other martial arts, as well as practicing parkour free-running. He has equipped himself with a lightly-armored suit and freefall harness, as well as a variety of traditional and homemade weaponry.
.Origin and backstory (as you see it):
Dick's the son of John and Mary Grayson. John was a detective for the Gotham City Police Department. When Dick was ten, his mother was diagnosed with cancer, one that acted fast, taking her from him and his father in six months. Dick threw himself into his study of jiu-jitsu. As his father worked with Batman to take down Tony Zucco, Dick withdrew into himself socially. Things came to a head on his father's investigation, and things wound up looking like Batman was responsible for the detective's death. Dick was put in an orphanage, until he was taken in by Ms. Harriet Cooper, a resident in the penthouse suites at Wayne Tower.
Since then, Grayson has been sneaking out at night, testing his mettle as the fledgling crimefighter 'Redbird' against the forces of organized crime in Gotham City, engaging the Chinese Triads and a drug cartel run by a mysterious man named Morpheus.
After some less than successful encounters against the Corinthian and Morpheus's enforcers, and an even less successful encounter with fellow teenage vigilante Batgirl, Grayson has devoted more and more of his time and focus into training, all working towards one singular goal: find the Batman, and avenge his father's murder.
.The burning question - Why this character?:
First off, because everyone and their grandma has a Gotham character in this game, and by Jove it's my turn to have one too! Also, because I hope to revive the long-lost art of the sidekick, while hopefully finding a cool way to get there.
.How will this version of your character differ from others? How will it be Ultimate?:
Well for starters, since Dick believes that Batman killed his father, he's not going to be particularly fond of the Dark Knight at this point. His motivations for training are of course to become Batman's nemesis rather than his protege, and the relationship between the two should become pretty darned interesting once Dick learns the truth about what really happened to his dad.
.What do you believe you can bring to the RPG?:
Aside from being the guy who loves to pick up vital characters that no one else wants to play? Lots of fun, plot-driven stories and hopefully some really good character interaction. I also still know how to do the Macarena.
.Provide a short sample post as your desired character, in three paragraphs or more:
Miss Cooper's usually in bed before ten, which means I'm free to sneak around as I please after she does. I've gotten really good at getting in and out of the place without her noticing; sometimes I even go out for a quick run while she's still up.
For a while, my excursions out into the city after dark were strange and wild adventures, knocking around the Triads and stealing their gear. Things took a turn for the worse when I encountered that Morpheus guy and his crew, when I saw just how horrific things were out there.....
.....how bad things were because of the mob.....
....and because of Batman....
....and because I wasn't ready, they absolutely trounced me.
Not again, I think to myself as I run across the rooftop, trying to keep my heart rate up. Never again.
Since then I've been throwing myself into my training, working harder than ever, trying to get my body and my mind into the best possible shape it can be. So that next time I put on the costume, I will be ready.
And I won't be unfocused.
I lost track of what I was doing, got lost fighting one gang or another, that I forgot why I was doing this in the first place: to find the man who killed my father.
I can feel it; I'm almost ready now. Soon I'll put the costume on again.
Soon I'll find a way to track down the Batman himself.
And when I do.....I'm going to kill him.
