Final Fantasy Type-0 Coming To The West On Xbox One, PlayStation 4 [Update]. June 10, 2014 . 12:12pm

Final Fantasy Type-0 is coming to North America and Europe on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Update: Final Fantasy Type-0 will be released for Xbox One and PS4 in the West. The PS Vita listing on the PS Blog was an error that has been corrected by Square/Sony.

Final Fantasy Type-0 is coming to North America and Europe on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Square Enix announced this morning.

Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally released in Japan for the PSP. Square Enix have not announced when the game will be released in the West.

Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy VII G-Bike is coming to the West.

Earlier today, Famitsu magazine revealed Final Fantasy VII G-Bike for iOS and Android platforms. This morning, Square Enix confirmed that the game is coming to the West. Here’s the feature-list for the game:

• A motorcycle chase based action game, set in the world of FINAL FANTASY VII – Full 3D stages where players must evade obstacles and fight enemies at high speeds

• Elements unique to FINAL FANTASY VII – Classic monsters and Cloud Strife’s fighting techniques, created with gorgeous graphics

• Offers rich gameplay, including numerous missions and character development – Contains a wealth of familiar gameplay features including missions, epic boss battles, detailed weapon customization and item collection

Final Fantasy VII G-Bike will be available for iOS and Android platforms. It will be a free-to-play title. No release window has been announced yet for the West.

the sad thing is.......it's hard to have much faith in SE and XV in particular given its history.

I think it almost HAS to have a spot at next year's E3, with lots of actual gameplay footage to show, and a release date/window confirmed.

Mobile phone is cheap to develop for, pretty open for F2P crap, and the Vita might as well be dead.

You know what's sad about this? I used to get excited for and buy every single Square game that came out.. from the SNES to the PSOne.. Everyone. Sure there were some turds there but for the most part they were amazing (FF 7-9, Parasite Eve 1 & 2, FF: Tactics, Brave Fencer Musashi, Legend of Dragoon, Vagrant Story) and now pretty much anything they do I'm just like "Meh, we'll see.."

I hate that. I want them to get back to form.. I'll just believe it when I see it.
