Comics The Offical Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Thread

I did not like that he draws the movie version of Betty Brant however.

She looks okay to me.

Honestly, I always thought the movie Betty Brant was pretty spot-on with Ditko's though, so...

Yea, it just seems to me that he is drawing the actress from the film instead of drawing Betty Brant the comic book character.

The school nurse Arrow having stingers and eating spiders. And the mystery man who is sending Vulture after Spider-Man. David's run is actually really entertaining.

Didn't she kiss the spider?....I don't have the comic here to check but when I read throught it my reaction was that she kissed it....probably wrong though

at the same time, it feels liek the supporting cast is being crammed into the pages. as if there isn't enough time or space for them to get their two cents. feels rushed.

Is Scott Eaton going to stay on this book, or is he a,too good to be true type artist?

I don't think he's staying, because Nauck is coming back for the Sandman arc. Who knows though, maybe he'll be back after that.

Nauck is a pretty good artist as well. Though I feel Eaton kind of has a feel for the tone of the title. Well, at least David's storytelling.

And, yes, Ms. Arrow definitely ate that spider. YOWZA! :wow:

I gotta be honest. For a moment there, I thought Peter had finally snapped for good. Toomes sure knows how to push his buttons.

With the last two issues I've read FINALLY starting to pick up (haven't got last weeks yet), this title's actually becoming good now. Mysterio's arc was a confusing mess with a horrible ending relating back to the other. The 2211 arc was an even worse mess with an even worse ending, there's been 2 issues fighting a mexican wrestler... nuff said. Issue 5 was good and... well let's not talk about issues 1-4.

About damn time is all I can say.

I agree. I'm kinda thinking that Scott Eaton's art really helped the storytelling also. IMO.

that site link....the message "boards" are extremely difficult to follow

I'm just glad that Pete got rid of that gay-a$$ "gold-red" outfit. He looked like Ironman's sidekick.

Scratch that. He looked like Ironman's B!TCH.

how do you think pete would react if thony stark reassined the iron spider armor to one of the initiatives new super-heroes?:spidey:
kind of like he did with the war machine armor

And then we will have the Spider-Man event of 2008. 'Black VS Red and Gold'

Creative Team - Writer: Peter David / Penciler: To be confirmed. Just thought it should have it's own thread. I re-read issue 1 of this series, and i gotta say... i really like this book. yes, it was a part of "the Other" but this is one of the best issues from the crossover. that's all... CHAT!
its probably my favorite spidey title right now....
I have all of the issues, except for the first 4

You should somehow get issue 1. It was a good start to a title, IMO.

I'mma try, but the comic shops around me don't have it for some reason

I don't think Tony would do something like that.

Then again, YEAH he would.
