So is pre-production starting in October? It's nearly that time. We should be hearing some casting news within the next few weeks perhaps?

I wouldn't count on it, but once T:TDW hits theatres, about that time, I guess we might get the first tidbits and rumors

i speculate that they will use the animated series origin; Scott was working for Stark Industries when he got busted/sent to prison. it'd be the easiest way to legitimize him as an engineer. problem i've always had with the comic book origin is that they have him "repairing watch batteries" and struggling to make ends meet, before going to prison. he must have gotten one helluva education in prison. because Scott's good enough that Tony hires and gives him his own lab.

We definitely should be I think, but then again Star Wars ep 7 is summer 2015 also I believe, and we don't know crap about that either

I imagine they are waiting to announce the whole Star Wars cast in a big publicity conference like they did with the Hobbit cast.

This pic is from the test footage Edgar shot a while back.

I doubt the costume design from the test footage will be exactly the same as the final movie version.

pre-production is basically prep for the movie. Scouting locations, casting actors, designing costumes, hiring crew, designing sets, ect

Yeah, I thought it was perfect too but I can see them adding a few more "bells and whistles" for the final version.

I can picture him having some sort of "exo" type suit and rough helmet earlier on in the film. Maybe like a mix of the Ivan Vanko exo suit at Monaco with some sort of less refined looking helmet until he develops the "hero suit". I'm sure it'll help the merchandise as well.

I think it would be cool if they had a 'Mark One' Ant-Man suit and helmet than looked like the original Tales To Astonish one like they had the Mark one armour in Iron Man before moving on to the more advanced version.

I believe I've said this before, but I think it's really cool that we are gonna have another full-masked hero between the Avengers.

if two ant-men are in it, it'd be easy to have one or the other use this version of the costume. it'd make them easier to tell apart, at least.

looks like the beginning of the footage; where he's peering out of a vent. but i guess it could be just after he does the tuck and roll.

I like the costume that Wright seems to be going with. It can't be easy to make the classic Ant Man costume look good in live action, but this is a very good attempt. They can always have him get an upgrade at some point.

my only regret is that no one is going to know who i am; when i dress as Ant-Man this halloween. maybe i should just carry around a picture of Garrett Morris Ant-Man and hope that someone remembers Saturday Night Live.
