Interesting semi-official news about casting:

Mark Julian over at CBM caught a quick report by the AP that Paul Rudd was seen backstage at the Oscars with Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo, who were also seen with Sam Jackson, RDJ and Jeremy Renner. AP speculated that he might be an "Avenger-in-training":

Julian went on to say that Edgar Wright has previously mentioned Rudd as a potential Ant-Man. Put two and two together, and we might've found our Ant-Man last night at the Oscars.

That would be one helluva casting marvel (hehehe!!) with Rudd and JGL as two Ant-Men.

Is Janet supposed to be in this? Because, damn... I really hope she is. And they can cast a saucy Asian actress to play her. She can be Ultimate Jan but with the 616 personality.

Others may crap on that choice, but I won't. I could see Munn as an Asian-American 616/Ultimate Wasp, even if she wouldn't be my first choice.

I just hope to hear news that she'll actually be *in* the movie; so far, the best we've been able to get from Wright is "she's there....in a roundabout way." Not too promising.

I keep forgetting that Olivia Munn's Vietnamese. I like her a lot as a comedic actress. Didn't think she had acting chops but I've heard great things about her in Newsroom.

i really liked her in 'The Town.' back OT, it's too bad that she got shot. she'd be a good crossover character; maybe a flashback to her reaching out to Pym, on behalf of A.I.M.

Munn needs to play Colleen Wing opposite Aisha Tyler as Misty Knight in a CAGE AND FIST film. And that's also what it should be called.

My feelings are that Rudd would be far more preferable to JGL as PYM. My feelings are also that JGL should be kept as far from the MCU as possible.

I don't mind if they go the ultimate route with an Asian actress as Janet but that is the only ultimate Janet thing they should do.

I'm not interested in seeing a movie version of Ultimate Janet who is a mutant that eats bugs, makes larval nests, lays eggs and suffers from bulimia.

I would be annoyed if Marvel pull a Ultimate Nick Fury in the comics and get rid of Janet for a Asian version to match the movie or have her body swap like Psylocke.
